    Provide Motivation to the Employees by Creating Public Holidays in Odoo!

    Holidays are necessary for all employees to maintain a balance between their personal and professional lives. It enables individuals to take a break from their work-life in order to reduce stress and pressure.

    When it comes to holidays, public holidays are also important which are other than casual and sick leaves. Public Holidays are necessary to manage the social life of every employee.

    So, it is the duty of every employer to assign some public holidays to their employees like festivals, New Year, etc to enjoy with their families and friends.

    Odoo Public Holiday module facilitates the HR to create time off for the public holidays. It allows HR to manage public holidays time off and only a single holiday can be created for the same day.

    To create public holidays, HR needs to check various factors like government public holiday lists, organization policies, etc. After calculating everything, they can create a public holiday for their employees easily with the help of the module Odoo Public Holiday.

    FEATURES

    1. Using the module, HR managers can create Public Holiday Time Off Type for their Employees.
    2. Manage public holidays easily in Odoo.
    3. Public holidays are always in the approved state.
    4. HR need not approve the public holidays manually.
    5. HR managers can create and check the list of Public Holidays.
    6. Employees can check their assigned public holidays in the Time Off.
    7. HR can Create only a single public holiday for the same day.
    8. Not more than one leave can be created by the HR for the same day.

    INSTALLATION

    1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
    2. Extract the file from your system after the download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘wk_public_holidays’.
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
    4. Now, open the Odoo Apps and then, click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
    5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on the ‘Update Modules List’.
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and then, search ‘wk_public_holidays’.
    7. As a result, you will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

    WORKFLOW

    1. Firstly, login to the ‘odoo Instance’ and go to the ‘Time Off’ module.

    1. Now, go to the ‘Time Off Types’ under the ‘Configuration’ menu.
    2. Here, create Public holiday as Time Off Type.

    1. Now, go to the ‘Employees’ section in the Odoo Instance.
    2. Create Public Holiday, open public holiday wizard. Add date, leave type and then click on the Create Leave button.
    3. User can also tick the checkbox next to Create Approved Leave. Public holidays are always in the approved state. In case of any announcement or confirmation user can use this option.

    1. Message appears on the screen regarding the successful creation of the public holiday.

    1. Now, go to the ‘Time Off’ under the ‘Managers’ to check the All Time Off.
