Multivendor Marketplace for Shopify: Commissions

Updated 6 September 2024

In the Multivendor Marketplace App, Commission is very important. So, what this commission is?

The commission is the admin/merchant share from the vendor/seller product purchase.

For example – If the global commission is 10%, the price of the product A for vendor X is 100 then 10 would be the merchant share and the rest 90 is the vendor part in the order.

The merchant can either set global commission (applicable on all vendors), category wise commission or product commission to be taken from the vendor.

Either one of the commission will be applied in this manner: global commission < Seller wise Commission < Category commission < product commission.

How to set Category (collection) Wise Commission :

The merchant can have the collections sync from the Shopify store to the multivendor app. To do so, enable “restrict collections” from the configuration > restriction

Then you will have a collection menu added to the admin dashboard, then you need to sync the collections, this will list all your collections on the app.

Now you can view each collection and can have the commission added:
