OpenCart Video Player

OpenCart Video Player plugin provides the functionality to the admin to add the videos or youtube links on the product catalog page.

In an online store if the customer finds the video representation of any product it adds the advantage to generate more sell of that particular product.

With the help of this plugin, the admin can enable this feature in their store and promote the business.

Check a brief overview of the plugin –

• The admin can add video in the category by using the embedded code.

First, extract the downloaded zip file. After that, open the correct Opencart Version Folder. According to Opencart Version installed in your system. Start your headless eCommerce now.

Then, upload the admin, catalog, image, ocmod to the Opencart root directory.

Once you have uploaded the file then login to admin and go to Extensions > Extension Installer and upload the .zip file- opencartvideointegration.ocmod.zip. The zip file can be found in the ocmod folder for 3.x.x.x version and .xml file for 2.x.x.x version.

Thereafter, uploading the zip file go to the Extensions > Modification and click on the refresh field.

Afterwards, go to System > Users > Usergroups. And then edit ‘Administrator’. Select the shown checkboxes for both Access Permission and Modify Permission and Save it.

Thereafter, navigate to Extensions > Extensions > Modules. Find Video Integration By Webkul from the list. Click on the Install button and install it.

Admin Configuration- Opencart Video Integration

After the successful installation of the extension Opencart Video Integration. To configure the extension. Firstly, in the sidebar menu go to Extensions > Extensions > Modules.

Furthermore, click on the edit button next to Video Integration by webkul.

After clicking on the edit button that navigates to the below settings:

Moreover, the admin can enable or disable the status of the module and enter the video configuration details like limit, API key, and player skin color.

The admin can add the video from the backend for that they need to navigate into Catalog > Products. Admin can add a new product or edit any previous one.

Furthermore, to add any product video admin will click on the edit icon of that product and add it will redirect to the edit product’s page. Where product-related information is available and can be edited or updated.

To add the video on the product admin will click on the video tab and a page will open. There is an option is showing add new. Admin can add the video by two methods:

1. Video URL
2. Upload Video

Video integration by URL

To add the video by URL admin needs to select the video type and then enter the required URL. Once it’s entered it will automatically get the video details from a source like Youtube.

Video Integration by uploading

There is another option to add the video by uploading it to the system’s library.

Click on the plus icon and a new page will open choose the desired video and click on the upload button it will be integrated with your product.

The admin can check all stored videos in catalog > WK Product videos.

Video added by embedded code:

The admin can add the category videos by the embedded code of any video by clicking on the action tab. When the admin clicks on the code button code get copied and can be used anywhere.

On the categories page, the admin can edit any category and enter the embedded code there.

When the admin hits on the embedded code icon and pastes the copied link over there so the video gets auto fetched.

On the frontend user can see the attached video on the category page.

On the customer end, while the customer checks the product’s category page and opens any product it will open with product details.

When the product will open in another tab, the customer can find the product details and video of that product.
