    Odoo POS Order Margin

    INTRODUCTION

    Marginal analysis is the examination of the costs and benefits of your business.

    Maintaining a necessary margin in your business is very crucial to serving your customers far into the future.

    As the profit or loss of your business depends upon the order margin between cost price and sale price. Similarly, in Point of Sale, it is quite important to track the order margin.

    Therefore, we have come up with the “Odoo POS Order Margin”. The module facilitates the POS user to track the margin in the orders in POS effortlessly and you can check the margin per product from the sale order report. Moreover, you can also check margins from the graph to analyze.

    2. The margins can be checked from Odoo POS Backend.

    3. Additionally, the POS user can check the margin per product from the sale order report.

    4. The module also facilitates you to check the margins from the graph to analyze.

    INSTALLATION

    1.) Once you purchase the Odoo POS Order Margin module From Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.

    2.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- “wk_pos_order_margin”.

    3.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.

    4.) Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.

    5.) Then, open on the Apps menu and click on the ‘Update Modules List’.

    6.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search “wk_pos_order_margin”.

    7.) Now you will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

    WORKFLOW

    Back-end

    1. Initially, login to the Odoo database and navigate to the Point Of Sale app.

    2. Then, navigate to the ‘Products’ under the ‘Products’ tab.

    Go to the products list to use the Odoo POS order margin module.

    3. Here, you can create a product or you can configure any existing product from this page.

    Here the POS user create a new product to sell in POS.

    4. Now, while creating a product, add the name of this product and set its ‘Sales Price’ or ‘Unit Price’. So, you could know the margin.

    5. Moving on to lunch a POS session.

    6. Now, you can add the product to the cart and validate the order accordingly.

    Back-end

    7. Now, navigate to the ‘Orders’ under the ‘Orders’ tab.

    Now, go to the orders to view the details of orders.

    8. Here is the list of all the orders that you have done from the POS session.

    9. This is one of the most recent orders from the previous order list. Here, you can see, what margin this particular contains.

    After open the order you will be able to the margin of that particular order.

    10. Now, go to the ‘Orders’ under the ‘Reporting’ tab to see more details of margin.

    Click on orders under the reporting tab to see the margin of the orders.

    11. Here initially, click on to the ‘Measures’ button and then enable the ‘Margin’ to see the margin. Moreover, you can see the margin in multiple views/formats.

    In order analysis you can see the margin in multiple views.

    12. Moreover, you can click on the ‘Graph icon’ in the top right corner to see the margin in the graph view.

    13. You can open the ‘Pivot view’ to analyze the margin.

    You can also check the margin in the pivot view.

    14. Now, navigate to the ‘Sales Details’ under the ‘Reporting’ to see margin on the POS session report.

    14. Click on the ‘Print’ button to print the session report and see its margin.

    15. You can view the margin of the orders on the POS session report as well.

    The order's margin is also shown on the POS session's reopt.
