INTRODUCTION

Odoo Map Widget: find your destination in seconds!!!

Locating addresses sometimes becomes problematic as it shows the correct location but a different address. To solve this problem you need the precise latitude and longitude.

These lat & lang help you to easily locate the address without difficulty.

The Odoo Map widget solves all these problems. This module makes adding the address simple. You can add the location to the product by adding the latitude and longitude at the odoo backend.

This module also allows to add a map location by entering the address. Edit, delete, or update an existing address as needed. 

You may also view the addresses on the map and see their positions. Add the map widget using XML code or through a user interface. 

Select a button to add a map widget and enter the address’s latitude and longitude.

INSTALLATION

1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- odoo_map_widget.’
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Apps menu and click ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search odoo_map_widget.’
7. You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

1. After Installation, Open the general setting at the odoo backend. Enable the Geo-Location and select the API.

2. After enabling geo-location, you may notice the Odoo map widget on the product page.

3. Under the Map section, Click on ‘Add New Map.’

4. The longitude and latitude window will pop up when you click on the edit icon on the map. Configure and click ‘save.’

5. Under the Map section, a map will be added.
