    Store Locator for Shopware 6

    Shopware 6 Store Locator is a quick way for giving an effortless searching experience for the customers to locate the stores on Google Maps. The stores in any number can be added by the admin panel from the back end. This will help the customers to find the stores based on the Location search for the best accurate results.

    Installation

    Customers will get a zip folder, then they have to extract the contents of this zip folder on their system. The customer has Copy the folder WebkulStorelocator to custom/plugins directory of Shopware6. As shown in the below image:

    Now open the Shopware 6 application in the Terminal.

    Run this command to refresh the plugin –

    /bin/console plugin:refresh


    Go to your Shopware installation Root directory and run this command to install then activate the plugin –

    ./bin/console plugin:install WebkulStorelocator
    ./bin/console plugin:activate WebkulStorelocator

    To clear the cache run this command –

    ./bin/console c:c

    Manual Installation

    For the manual installation of the plugin follow the steps as mentioned below:

    1) Extract the zip file of the plugin.

    2) Goto your Shopware 6 installation backend panel and navigate to  Extensions-> My Extensions after that you can find all the installed plugins in it.

    For installing the plugin, the user can click on the Upload Extension button. The user can upload the plugin zip(WebkulStoreLocator) here.

    3) After uploading the plugin zip, the user can see the Extensions in the list.

    4) Now the user can click on the install icon to install the Store Locator extension.

    5) After the installation of the extension, the user can click to activate the extension.

    While in the process the admin can see the success message ‘Extension has been activated‘.

    After the installation process and plugin configuration if the Store Locator icon option is not visible then run this command to clear the cache:

    php bin/console cache:clear

    How To Get Google Maps API Key

    Before configuring the module, the admin needs to have the Google Map Pin API. You can easily get one by following the steps mentioned below.

    Step 1. Go to console.developers.google.com and log in using your Gmail ID. After that, click on select a project.

    Step 2. Click on New Project Button. After that, you need to enter the name of the project and Browse the location of the organization.

    Step 3. After creating the project click on the Enable API And Services.

    Step 4. Then click on the Maps JavaScript API to get the API key.

    Step 5. After clicking on the Maps JavaScript API, you need to click on the ENABLE button.

    Step 6. Once you have enabled the API then you need to navigate through Credentials> Credentials in APIs & Services.

    Step 7. After that, you need to click on the create credentials and select the API key.

    Step 8. Now you can copy the generated API key.

    Admin Configuration

    After the successful installation, the admin can configure the Shopware Google Map Pin module without any issues by navigating to Extensions>>My Extensions>>Store locatore>>Config.

    On the configuration page, The admin can configure the following:

    1. Google API Key: The Google API key which was generated earlier can be filled in the following field. The admin can navigate directly to the get API key section in developer documents through the following link “For Google API Key”.
    2. Radius: In this admin can enter the radius in which the Store Locator can search the store location.
    3. Distance Label: In this admin can select the distance will be in kilometers or miles.

    After that click on the Save button.

    Admin Management

    To add a store in Shopware 6 Store Locator admin will navigate to Settings>>Extensions>>Store locator.

    Then click on Create New Store Locator.

    After clicking on the Create New Store locator button,  another page opens where the admin enters the store details. Enter your store title, address, latitude, etc. and select status as active for display at store front end.

    Now click on to save button. Then store locations will be displayed here, admin can edit & delete them.

    Front End

    After saving you have to click in Stores on the frontend. Then your Store Locator looks like this, with all locations and with a link in your header.

    Users can search locators after click Store locator, based on location.

    After the search, the results depend upon the admin entered radius.
