    Opencart Base Price Management

    Updated 10 October 2023

Opencart Base Price Management extension is very handy to set the product price as the price of an available option price (added to the product) by the admin of the website. The admin from the backend can easily set the product base price as an option for each and every product.

The admin has to manually select the  default option value to set its price as the product base price. The selected price of the option will be displayed everywhere including product page.

Any special price/discount added to the product is removed. This is very useful for the stores where no need for any Base Price, but the price must change as option changes.

    Use Case

For Example:- If there is a product “cake,” quantity 30, each weighing 100gms have $100 as the price. Moreover, if a customer wishes to buy 1kg of the same, so customer needs to add 10 quantity of the product to cart. However, to make it simpler if the base price options were added on the product page then it would be much simpler for the customer to buy the product without being much involved.

Like if two additional base price options were also displayed on product page like “Cake,” weight 500gms price $250 and other option having weight 1kg price $500. Then it would work efficiently for the customer to buy the product with ease. Simply the customer will select the base price option for 1Kg, quantity 1 that’s it..
