Coupons and Vouchers are always an effective customer engagement trend that is sure to follow in 2019 as well. Coupons and Vouchers provide direct monetary benefits to the customers providing you with the opportunity to direct the traffic towards your business.
Odoo Website Coupons & Vouchers module helps you to create discount coupons in Odoo. The Odoo user can create the General Coupon available for all customers on the first come first serve basis or Special Coupon for a specific customer. The customer can also redeem the coupon amount in parts if settings allow and also if applicable. The Odoo user can also choose particular products on which a coupon can be redeemed.
The Odoo user can also set a minimum cart amount value for redeeming the coupon. The coupon can be used on both the Odoo website and Odoo POS.
(Please note: You first need to install Odoo POS coupons Module to redeem the same coupon in both POS and website)
- The module facilitates the creation of discount coupons and vouchers in Odoo.
- The Odoo admin can create discount coupons for customers to be redeemed on Odoo website or applied in the sales order in the Odoo backend.
- The Odoo user can set the validity of the coupon in the Odoo.
- A unique code is associated with each coupon which needs to be entered while placing the order to redeem the coupon.
- A coupon can be created for all customers or specific customer.
- The Odoo user can also add products to the coupons on which that particular is valid for redemption.
- The Odoo user can also set the redemption rule for the special coupon to partially redeem and also the number of partial redemptions. In this case, the customer can choose to redeem the coupon amount through multiple small discounts.
- The coupon can be sent to the customer via mail notification.
- The Odoo admin can see the list of all the coupons created in Odoo.
- The Voucher history shows the list of usage details of all the coupons.
1.) Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘website_voucher’.
3.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4.) Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5.) Then, open on Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List’.
6.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘website_voucher’.
7.) You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.
Configuration and Settings
1.) In Odoo, navigate through settings >> coupons & vouchers. Here you can set the default values of various fields to save time while creating the coupons both in Odoo and POS.
2.) Then, under Advanced settings, enable partial redemption options and set the value for the number of times a customer can partial redeem a specific coupon.
3.) These default values are automatically picked by the system when you create a coupon. So instead of entering each field every time while creating a coupon, the Odoo user needs to change only the desired values.
Creating Discount Coupons and Vouchers
4.) Moving on, go to website >> Coupons & Vouchers >> All coupons.
5.) Here you can create new coupons and vouchers, and also view the list of created coupons both- expired and currently active.
6.) Click on Create. The coupon form that opens contains the default values set in the configuration settings. Here change the desired field.
7.) Set the validity of coupons (in days). Or set the duration for which the coupon is valid using dates fields.
8.) You can also to issue a coupon for all customers or a particular customer.
9.) If you choose a specific customer, then also select the name of the customer.

10.) Please note partial redemption option is only available for coupons created for the specific customer.
11.) Next, enter the value of the coupon either in the fixed amount or as the percentage of the total cart amount.
12.) Also, choose the number of coupons you wish to give away to the customers. (Only available when the coupon is for all customers on first come basis)
13.) Under advanced options, cart amount validation option is available to set a minimum total cart amount to use the coupon. Enter the minimum cart amount.
14.) Under products submenu, you can choose the products for which the coupon is valid for redemption.
15.) Tick on active and click save.
On the Website
16.) Go to Odoo website. Add any product to the cart and proceed to checkout. Here enter the coupon code. You can also see the available coupons for your account. Enter the coupon and hit apply.
17.) If the coupon code is valid, The coupon gets added to the order line and the appropriate discount is adjusted in the shopping cart total amount. Proceed to place the order.
In the Odoo backend
18.) Similarly, while placing a sales order in the Odoo backend, click on apply here to enter the relevant coupon code and add the discount to the order lines.
19.) Go to Website >> Coupons & Vouchers >> Voucher history.
20.) Here you can see the list of all the coupons usage details. click on any record to open it.
