To get to know about the trending products Webkul comes up with the module ‘Odoo Website Most Viewed Products’.

‘Odoo Website Most Viewed Products’ allows you to display the most viewed products on the Odoo Website. Admin can set a number of views limit above which the product will appear in the trending products, and also set the number of products to be displayed in the trending product list. Customers can see trending products and total views of any product on the website, which attracts the customer towards the product.

INSTALLATION

Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
Extract the file from your system after the download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘odoo_trending_products’.
Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
Now, open the Odoo Apps and then, click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
Then, open the Apps menu and click on the ‘Update Modules List’.
In the search bar, remove all the filters and then, search ‘odoo_trending_products’.
As a result, you will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

Backend Configuration

Firstly, login to the ‘Odoo Instance’ and go to the ‘Website’ module.

Now, go to the ‘Settings’ under the ‘Configuration’ menu and add the limit of products to be shown in trending list and the minimum view count value after will the product will be counted in trending list.

The total number of views on a product can be seen on the Product page under the Sales tab.

Website View

Admin can place single and multiple trending product carousel anywhere on the site which will display the trending products. You simply need to drag and drop the carousel on the website in order to display the trending products.
