INTRODUCTION
We have introduced an module “Odoo POS Refund Via Vouchers” which allows you to create a voucher for the customer as a refund. This will not only help in customer retention but also it will maintain a mutual understanding between customer and seller.
In today’s global environment, lots of transactions are taking place. As an example- A customer went to a store and purchases a product say “Mobile Phone”, after some time he came back and returned the product . Now, in this scenario, either seller will repay back the amount to the customer in form of cash or he can create a refund coupon for the customer so that he can use that refunded coupon/voucher in future. Sometimes, repaying back the customer in cash can be a problematic task.
This module is a lucrative way to handle refunds in a productive way & improve customer loyalty as well.
Dependent Module
Odoo POS Refund Via Voucher is a dependent module for Odoo POS Coupons and Vouchers which is the framework module to create coupons/vouchers in Odoo POS. The base module needs to be installed first for Odoo Refund Via Voucher to work.
FEATURES
- The POS user can handle refund requests in Odoo POS.
- You can generate and provide POS vouchers/coupons for refunds in Odoo POS.
- The vouchers can be used to provide store credit to the customers in place of a cash refund.
- The POS voucher for refund can be generated for same product value or more/less depending upon the situation.
- The customer can use the Voucher to make another purchase from the Odoo POS.
- This module is also compatible with Odoo POS Order Return.
INSTALLATION
1.) Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘pos_voucher_refund’.
3.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4.) Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5.) Then, open on Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List’.
6.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘pos_voucher_refund’.
7.) You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’to install it.
WORKFLOW
Configuration
The initial step is to configure the module. Configure the setting by following the path Website>Settings>Coupons under Order Refund Heading, select the option ” Refund Via Voucher”.
POS View
As an example- A customer has placed an order of $500 now he returned the goods and his amount has to be refunded. Seller has two options either to repay back the amount to the customer in cash or to create a refund voucher for him. In this scenario, we will repay the amount back to the customer via refund voucher.
For this simply click on the “Refund Via Vouchers” button to create a voucher for a particular refund.
As soon as seller will click on “Refund via Vouchers” option, the amount will become zero. (Refer the screenshot below)
A pop up will arise asking you the voucher amount, enter the voucher amount to create the refund coupon.
Backend View
To see the voucher created for the particular refund generated, follow the path Point of sale>All coupons.
