Odoo POS Carry Bag

INTRODUCTION

Good customer service encourages customers to remain loyal.

Customers are willing to pay more to the companies which offer better customer service. Satisfying the customers with possible services in our business can lead to having a positive and happy purchasing experience.

Similarly, carry bags play a crucial role while selling or purchasing any product. Suppose, if a customer purchases goods in large quantities from your POS and he wants to carry that to his home or anywhere else, now in such a situation, you as a POS user needs to either pack all the products as a bundle to make it portable/moveable or you need to provide him something to keep the products in and carry to wherever he wants to move them.

To work efficiently in such a scenario, we have come up with the “Odoo POS Carry Bag” module, which facilitates you to add carry bags to any order when requires. Moreover, the cashier has the option to chose the different styles and different sizes of the carry bags in running POS session.

FEATURES

1. Provide carry bags to the customers in POS.

2. POS carry bag module allows having a separate category of carry bags in your store.

3. The cashier can have multiple types of carry bags from carry bags list at the carry bag category in POS.

4. POS user can charge for the carry bag accordingly.

5. The details of the carry bag addition in order will be printed on the receipt.

INSTALLATION

1.) Once you purchase the Odoo POS Carry Bag module From Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.

2.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- “pos_carry_bag”.

3.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.

4.) Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.

5.) Then, open on the Apps menu and click on the ‘Update Modules List’.

6.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search “pos_carry_bag”.

7.) Now you will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

Back-end

1. Initially login to your Odoo database and navigate to the POS app.

2. To make a carry bag for POS, Create a new product as carry bag, add its name and navigate to Point of Sale tab, here make it available in POS and add the product in “Carry bag” category.

3. Now move to the settings of any POS session by clicking on the ellipsis.

4. Now scroll down to the “POS Interface” section.

Here choose the Carry Bag Category to apply to the POS shop.

5. By clicking on to the “Carry Bag” button you can add the carry bags in the current order. 

Front-end

6. As we have clicked on the carry bag accordingly, here is the list of carrying bags in a carry bag category.

7. We have added a carry bag in the order and there has been added a separate order line for this.

8. The added carry bag will also appear on the receipt.
