    INTRODUCTION

    Update product images easily with Odoo CSV Image Uploader!

    The seller needs to update the product images on the website from time to time. Updating the images manually one by one becomes a hectic task. Keeping this in mind Webkul comes up with the module ‘Odoo CSV Image Uploader’. The module allows the Odoo user to upload images to products in Odoo using a CSV file in a single click.

    Odoo CSV Image Uploader allows you to add product extra images and website product category image. Images for multiple products can be updated simultaneously using a single CSV file. The Odoo user can add the image to a product form in Odoo through the image name or image URL.

    FEATURES

    1. The module facilitates the Odoo user to add images to products in Odoo using a CSV file.
    2. It adds the option to add product images, product Extra images, and website product category images.
    3. The images can be added using the image name or image URL as a reference.
    4. The user can view the list of all the image upload operations in Odoo.

    INSTALLATION

    1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
    2. Extract the file from your system after the download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘csv_image_uploader’.
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
    4. Now, open the Odoo Apps and then, click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
    5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on the ‘Update Modules List’.
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and then, search ‘csv_image_uploader’.
    7. As a result, you will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

    WORKFLOW

    Preparing Zip File to Upload

    1. Firstly, create a CSV file on your system; the CSV file must contain Product Id, Name of the product, Image title.

    Image title can be in the form of image name and the URL of the image. To upload images through URL just mention the correct URLs for those images in the CSV file.

    1. If you are using the image title in the image column, make a folder titled- ‘images’ and add those images to this folder. The title of the images in the CSV file should match with the actual title of the corresponding image in the ‘images’ folder

    1. Once you have created the CSV file and folder, compress both of them together into a single zip file. Give the title to the file here I used to give the title ‘Product’.

    1. Firstly, login to the Odoo Instance and go to the Website module.

    1. Click on the Upload Images tab under the Image Uploader menu.

    1. Select the type of image you wish to upload for the products. Click on the Upload your file, browse the file and then click on the upload now button.

    1. Click on the History tab under the Image uploader menu. Here, check the image uploading history with status.

    1. Click on any of the history record and check the details of image uploading.

    1. Go to the Products menu; here, check the product form with the updated image after uploading the image successfully.
