Introduction
Middleware Akeneo PIM Connector helps to connect your Akeneo with any third-party eCommerce. However, it facilitates the abstraction of functionality between two systems.
It is a constructor that allows you to set up a linear data processing flow, also referred to as pipeline, for the import/export of data from Akeneo PIM to Shopify.
So, the Connector uses GraphicQL for translations on Shopify’s end. Data export/import using the REST Admin API for Products and as well as Collections

You’ll learn how Middleware works with the Shopify Akeneo Connector in this document. Furthermore, you can use this connector to connect your Shopify store to the Akeneo PIM platform.
SaaS- Grounded Shopify Akeneo Connector
Software as a service (SaaS) is a model for distributing software and delivering operations through the internet. A SaaS product is a subscription-based service that is centrally hosted and certified.
Saas are popular since they are quick and provide a plethora of development opportunities.

Growth Edition:
Growth Edtion is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) PIM. Fast Deployment, Automatic Upgrades, Scalable, and Adaptable PIM Results are all included in the Growth Edition.
We use Middleware software to set up the Shopify Akeneo Connector. Therefore we use Akeneo API for the integration.

Enterprise Serenity Mode:
Enterprise Serenity is also a SaaS-ground like Growth. Furthermore, EE has some advanced features like Asset Manager, Reference Realities, and Advance Rights Management.
So, now Shopify Akeneo Connector is compatible with the Akeneo EE Serenity with Middleware software ( Developed by Webkul)SaaS- Ground Akeneo.

How does this connector work
Basically, to export data through middleware, we primarily use Akeneo API and Shopify API. APIs are used to facilitate data flow.
As a result, APIs might operate as a shared layer between two different apps. Businesses are adopting them across the IT environment due to their adaptability.

The key benefit of this method is its ease of implementation. There are no complicated elements, and all of the work is done by a single operation.
So, it speeds up the procedure. One operation acts as a source, while the other acts as a destination. After that, you can use this data integration system for a variety of real-time tasks.
Moreover, middleware contains 5 standard stages:
- Reader
- Validator
- Mapper
- Translator
- Writer

Reader
In this first of all, a source item is read.
Validator
After that, it is validated to make sure that all attributes, etc are correctly imported from Akeneo to Middleware and all the necessary data is available in the connector.
Mapper
Then after validation, you need to map all the data which you want to export from Akeneo PIM to the Shopify store.
Translator
After that, the particulars go through a translator which processes the values and translates them into a separate format.
Writer
The item is then written to the target system (to a database in the case of import, to a file in the case of export, and so on).
How does Shopify Akeneo Connector work with Middleware?
To link Akeneo and Shopify to the middleware module, you’ll need to use the API.
Navigate to Shopify Connector >> Akeneo API Connection Detail to add API credentials.

After that, you must enter all of the Akeneo Credential information, such as
Akeneo URL
Client ID
Secret
Username
Password
After that, select Validate Credentials to import all of your Akeneo product data into MiddleWare.

Then go to credentials and provide the Shopify store details for the data you wish to export. However, to add the Shopify credentials, click Create Credentials.

You must select the Akeneo property that will be mapped to the Shopify product field in the middle.
