The client was using the Thirty Bees v1.6.0 platform, a fork of PrestaShop v1.6.0, for their store.
Their main challenge was handling many personalization options, which made product pages cluttered and hard to navigate. The long list of choices often overwhelmed customers and hurt their shopping experience.
Additionally, the default pricing logic was limited, as it didn’t allow grouping multiple customization options under one price, making it difficult to set a single cost for products with inputs like text, font, and other variations.
The store needed a more streamlined approach to simplify the user journey and improve usability.
Webkul customized the Custom Product Options module by introducing a new Option Groups feature. This allows the admin to group multiple customization options together and assign a single price to the entire group, making pricing much easier to manage.
We also added a Hide/Show feature on the front end. Custom options are displayed only when a customer selects a specific Option group. This helps keep the product page clean, organized, and less confusing for customers.
With this setup, customers can focus only on relevant options instead of seeing everything at once, which improves their overall shopping experience. Finally, we ensured that the entire solution works smoothly with the Thirty Bees platform without any compatibility issues.
