    WooCommerce POS Pricelist

    To make an e-commerce business more profitable, proper pricing and discounting strategies must be acquired by online retailers.

    WooCommerce POS Pricelist provides the feature using which better discounts may be allocated to a product in a POS store.

    Customers always seek products with favorable discount options and tend to purchase products which offer heavy discounts.

    This generates more traffic, which in turn would generate good revenue for the webstore. For an online webstore, WooCommerce POS Pricelist is a powerful discounting tool.

    It provides various discounting features which can be applied to particular products or on all products of the store.

    The discounted price is displayed along with the actual price on the POS, to notify customers about the discounted product.

    NOTE: 

    • The WooCommerce POS Pricelist is an add-on for WooCommerce POS System.  To use this add-on, you must install WooCommerce POS System.
    • The POS system will work with devices having 1280 screen resolution or above. Currently, we are working on to make the POS work with up to 768 screen resolution and above.
    • For mobile devices – the user needs to develop the POS application for mobiles accordingly.

    Features

    • Admin can add new Pricelist Rules to configure the Discount Pricelist.
    • Pricelists Rules may be defined for Product, Product Category, Product Variation and for Global Products.
    • Discount may be applied to a specific category or specific product or to a particular variation.
    • The Pricelist Rules may be fixed or calculated on the basis of percentage.
    • Admin may define the start and the end date for the Discount Pricelist.
    • The POS store displays the discounted price along with the actual price.
    • The buyer can easily differentiate between the discounted product and non-discounted product.

    Installation

    The user will get a zip file which he has to upload in the “Add New” menu option in the WordPress Admin Panel. For this login to WordPress Admin Panel and Under the Dashboard hover your mouse over the “Plugins” menu option which brings out a Sub-Menu and then select the “Add New” option.After this, you will see an option on the top of your page that is “Upload Plugin”, click the option to upload the zip file.By clicking on the “Upload Plugin” option, that you will see a button “Choose File” , click on the button to browse for the zip file as per the snapshot below.After browsing the file, click the “Install Now” button to install the plugin as per the snapshot.Now when the plugin is installed correctly, you will see the success message and an option to activate the plugin. Click on “Activate Plugin” to activate the installed plugin.

    Backend Management

    The admin manages the Discount Pricelist option functionality from his account panel.

    The admin may add the Discount Pricelist by tapping on the “ADD NEW” button in the admin dashboard, under “Woocommerce POINT OF SALE>Discount Pricelist” option.

    Workflow for Global Pricelist Rule

    After tapping on the “Add New” tab, admin can add the pricelist rule for POS as shown in the image below.

    The admin may define Apply On as “Global” for which the pricelist rule shall be applied, under “Discount Pricelist>Add Pricelist Rule for POS”. 

    • Discount Price Label: The admin can enter the Discount Price Label name, for example, DP_Label1.
    • Minimum Quantity: The admin can define minimum quantity such as 1, in the Minimum Quantity tab.
    • Start Date: The admin can define the start date, for example, 08/06/2018.
    • End Date: The admin can define the end date, for example, 30/06/2018.
    • Apply On: The admin defines Apply On as Global so that the discount is applied to all the products in a POS store.
    • Compute Price: The admin defines the discount pricelist as fixed for Global.
    • Discount Status: The admin may set the status of the discount as Enable or Disable.

    As soon as the admin saves the discount rule, the POS store displays the Global Discount Pricelist which has been applied to the products, on the frontend.

    Workflow for Product Category Pricelist Rule

    The admin may define Apply On as “Product Category” and the Product Category for which the pricelist rule shall be applied, under “Discount Pricelist>Add Pricelist Rule for POS”. 

    • Discount Price Label: The admin can enter the Discount Price Label name, for example, DP_Label1.
    • Minimum Quantity: The admin can define minimum quantity such as 1, in the Minimum Quantity tab.
    • Start Date: The admin can define the start date, for example, 08/06/2018.
    • End Date: The admin can define the end date, for example, 30/06/2018.
    • Apply On: The admin defines Apply On as Product Category so that the discount is applied to the Product Category selected (here, Uncategorized) in a POS store.
    • Compute Price: The admin defines the discount pricelist as a percentage for Product Category which is selected by the admin.
    • Discount Status: The admin may set the status of the discount as Enable or Disable.

    The admin saves or updates the discount rule, the POS store displays the Product Category Discount Pricelist which has been applied to the Product Category(here, Uncategorized), on the frontend, as shown in the image below.

    The admin may define Apply On as “Product Variation” and the Product Variation for which the pricelist rule has to be applied, under “Discount Pricelist>Add Pricelist Rule for POS”. 

    • Discount Price Label: The admin can enter the Discount Price Label name, for example, DP_Label1.
    • Minimum Quantity: The admin can define minimum quantity such as 1, in the Minimum Quantity tab.
    • Start Date: The admin can define the start date, for example, 08/06/2018.
    • End Date: The admin can define the end date, for example, 30/06/2018.
    • Apply On: The admin defines Apply On as Product Variation so that the discount is applied to the Products Variation selected (here, Watch_var-gloss blue,l) in a POS store.
    • Compute Price: The admin defines the discount pricelist as fixed for Product Variation which is selected by the admin.
    • Discount Status: The admin may set the status of the discount as Enable or Disable.
