Delivery Management Addon for WooCommerce POS plugin offers the functionality of adding different types of shipping for POS products.
The shipping methods are distance shipping, fixed-rate shipping, and WooCommerce shipping.
The admin can categorize the shipping method as per their requirement. For distance-based shipping, the admin will require Google Map API to configure it with WooCommerce POS.
Note: This plugin is an add-on to the Point of Sale System for WooCommerce (POS Plugin). To use this plugin, you must install Point of Sale for WooCommerce first.

Features
- The admin can set different shipping on their POS system. Three types of shipping can be added to the system.
- Distance shipping – charges based on distance (KM), Fixed-rate shipping – shipping charges will be fixed for each shipping, WooCommerce Shipping – WC default shipping methods.
- Distance will be calculated by Google Maps.
- Admin can enable/disable the location QR code option in the invoice.
- The admin can also set additional charges for distance-based shipping.
- The POS user can also enable/disable the shipping methods on the POS end.
- The admin can add a POS outlet address via Google Maps.
- The POS agent can check order details and shipping address on the map.
Installation of Delivery Management Addon for WooCommerce POS
The user will get a zip file which he has to upload in the “Add New” menu option in the WordPress admin panel.
For this login to WordPress Admin Panel and Under the Dashboard hover your mouse over the “Plugins” menu option. This brings out a Sub-Menu and then selects the “Add New” option.
After that, you will see an option on the top of your page that is “Upload Plugin”, Click the option to upload the zip file.
Then click on the “Upload Plugin” option, below that you will see a button “Choose File” click on the button to browse for the zip file as per the snapshot below.
After browsing the file, click the “Install Now” button to install the plugin as per the snapshot.
Now, when the plugin is installed correctly, you will see the success message. Additionally, an option to activate the plugin.
Click on “Activate Plugin” to activate the installed plugin.
Generate API Key – For Displaying Maps
- Go to the Google Maps Platform
- Tap ‘Get Started‘ on the top right-hand side
- Now, check all options – ‘Maps‘, ‘Routes‘, and ‘Places‘ and tap ‘Continue‘.
- If you want to use an existing project, please select it from the list. Otherwise, select ‘Create a new project‘ and enter a project name.
- Create a Billing Account.
- Now, tap ‘Next‘ to continue and complete the steps.
- Click ‘Next‘ to enable the APIs for the selected project.
- lastly, you need to copy the generated API key and set it to the distance-based shipping’s Goggle Map API key in the Delivery Management Addon for WooCommerce POS.
Initial Configuration – WooCommerce POS Delivery Management
The admin can set delivery system settings after making complete POS settings for General, Customer, Payment, Printer, Appearance, and Endpoints tabs as described here.
Now, the store admin will navigate through the point of sale > settings > shipping to manage the shipping settings.
Moreover, In the shipping settings, the admin can make the following updates:
Shipping Status: The admin can enable/disable this shipping option from their end.
Shipping Type: There are three types of shipping, fixed-rate, distance-based, and WooCommerce shipping. Admin can select one and make the changes accordingly.
Distance Based Shipping:
Google Map API Key: When choosing distance-based shipping, the admin needs to enter the Google Map API to calculate the distance based on KM.
Shipping rate per KM: The admin can set the shipping rate per kilometer to calculate the shipping charges.
Shipping Additional Charge: If the admin wants to add any additional charges they can add it here.
Show QR code in Invoice: Enable/disable the location QR code option in the invoice.
Add Outlet Address
The admin can also add the POS outlet address with the help of Google Maps.
Note: An outlet address is required for distance-based shipping.
Fixed Rate Shipping:
The admin can choose the fixed rate shipping in the shipping type and make the changes accordingly.
Here, the admin can set the fixed shipping price for the POS orders.
WooCommerce Shipping:
If the admin doesn’t want to enable any special shipping method they can choose the WooCommerce shipping option. Where default WooCommerce shipping will work.
POS Workflow: Delivery Management Addon for WooCommerce POS
On the POS end, Prepare the cart and complete the order process.
When click on the pay button it will redirect to the checkout page.
Distance-Based Shipping:
If the admin selects the distance-based shipping on the admin end then the POS agent can set the customer location
so that Google Maps will calculate the distance and POS will apply the shipping charges accordingly.
Once the POS agent confirms the location and route the shipping charges will be calculated based on distance (KM).
Note: Google Maps will show all available routes in distance shipping POS users can choose the appropriate one.
Once the POS agent clicks the “Confirm Payment & Generate Invoice” button, the payment will be processed, and the Point of Sale (POS) system will automatically generate the invoice.
When the customer clicks on the print invoice button a PDF invoice will be generated. With the shipping and outlet address, the Google Map QR codes (optional).
Note: Customer can see separate WooCommerce POS Customer screen, which can be launched for each POS Outlet
The users can scan these QR codes and get the delivery location on the map on their devices.
Note: All address details will show only in distance-based shipping.
Order Details – POS End
The POS agent can view the order details as well as the map of the shipping location.
Order Details Admin end
The admin can also check the POS order in their panel with the chosen shipping type.
If the shipping type is distance-based configured then the order shipping will contain the delivery from & to addresses with the Google Map location link.
Add Customer Address:
The POS agent can add customer and their shipping address with the help of Google Maps.
When click on the add customer button it will navigate to another page where add customer details and add their address from Google Maps.
Click on confirm then the customer will add, and the POS agent can change the customer and proceed to checkout.
Note: While adding the customer’s location, the POS agent can move the pin bar to choose the location.
Fixed Rate Shipping:
When the admin selects the fixed rate shipping in the shipping type, only the fixed rate will display on the checkout page.
WooCommerce Shipping:
When the store owner chooses WooCommerce shipping then the default WooCommerce shipping will work.
Note: The customer can also return their POS orders with WooCommerce POS return.
Enable/Disable Shipping – POS End
The POS agent can also enable and disable the shipping methods from the checkout page by clicking on the button.
The WooCommerce POS outlet manager can easily manage their POS outlet easily.
