WooCommerce Marketplace Select and Sell plugin is used by the store admin to create a common global products and enable multiple sellers to sell it.
It enables a better ranking of products and reduces the hassle of creating a new product if a similar product already exists over the marketplace.
Using it, admin can convert a product to a base global product which the vendors can add and then set their own prices to sell it.

Features

Installation
The user will get a zip file which they have to upload in the “Add New” menu option in the WordPress admin panel.
For this, login to the WordPress Admin Panel, and Under the Dashboard hover your mouse over the “Plugins” menu option. This brings out a Sub-Menu and then selects the “Add New” option.
After that, you will see an option on the top of your page that is “Upload Plugin”, click the option to upload the zip file.
Then click on the “Upload Plugin” option, below that you will see a button “Choose File” click on the button to browse for the zip file as per the snapshot below.
Post browsing the file, click the “Install Now” button to install the plugin as per the snapshot.
Now, when the plugin is installed correctly, you will see the success message. Additionally, an option to activate the plugin.
Click on “Activate Plugin” to activate the installed plugin.

Flush Rewrite Rules
The admin has to flush the permalink by navigating to Settings > Permalinks so that the links to the WooCommerce Marketplace Select and Sell store work correctly.

Configuration – WooCommerce Marketplace Select and Sell
After installation, the marketplace admin has to navigate to Marketplace>Marketplace Select & Sell from the WooCommerce admin dashboard.
Here they will get 2 sections namely Products and Configuration, lets check them below,
Products
Under this section, admin can mark the listed products as Global or Non Global. They can mark the product sell status in Bulk or specifically through the provided action button.
Several filters are inbuilt in which admin can filter products based on Seller and product sell status i.e Global or Non Global.
A search bar is provided to search the products as well.
Configuration
In the configuration section, admin gets the General and Information based settings as per the below snapshot,
General
- Enable/Disable: It is used to enable or disable the plugin.
- Enable Seller Email Notification: If enabled, it informs the seller about their product order through Email.
- Enable Default Status as Global for all products: Set this option as Enabled if you require to set the products default status as Global.
- Enable/Disable Seller Product Popup: Enable or disable the seller based product popup on the storefront.
Information
- Select And Sell My Account Menu Page Title: Input and edit the My Account Menu Page Title
- Select And Sell My Account Menu Page Slug: Edit the My Account Menu Page Slug
- Add Select And Sell Product Endpoint: Add the Endpoint for Select and Sell Add Product Page
- Edit Select And Sell Product Endpoint: Add the Endpoint for Select and Sell Edit Product
Vendor Workflow
Once a product has been marked as Global from admin end, the vendors will then add it to their product list from their dashboard.
They will navigate to My Account> Select and Sell > Select Sell Products to access the configurations.
Here, the vendor can view the global products list and also search among them with the help of the search bar.
The Vendor gets 3 Bulk actions here which are as follows,
- Delete: Mass Delete the products.
- Set as Publish: Set the product status as Published.
- Set as Draft: Set the Product status as Draft
A Reset button is present to sync the products in the list. Next, the vendor adds a new global product by tapping on the plus(+) button.
It redirects them to the Add New Product page where they have to first select the Product Category and Product Type as per the image below,
After selecting the required category and type, tap on Next and it will redirect to the next page,
Here, the vendor will select the required Product from the dropdown list. Once Selected, it will display the details of the selected product accordingly such as Product Price and Stock Status.
Vendor can also add and edit the following as per requirement,
- Regular Price: Input the regular product price
- Sale Price: Set a sale price of the product if required
- Quantity: Input the quantity
- Status: Set the status of product as Draft or Published
Once the details have been added, seller will tap on Save to save the product details and add it to the global products list.
Seller Admin Dashboard
Additionally, the vendor can also perform the same functions through their separate admin dashboard. They will navigate to Admin Dashboard>Marketplace>Select and Sell to configure the same.
The sellers will get the same functionalities on this dashboard as well.
Customer Workflow
After the sellers list the global products for selling on the marketplace, they will be visible to the customers for purchasing.
They can compare the price of the same global product being sold by multiple vendors and get a vendor price comparison.
The customers will go to a product page where they can view the multiple seller list in 2 ways. It will be visible either in a popup form or in a list view as set by the marketplace admin.
Popup View
In this, the customer gets a popup and can select a seller selling the same global product as per their preference. Additional details like Regular Price, Sale Price and Quantity is visible as well.
Customer can also search for seller based on postal code, name or city from the given search bar.
List View
When the Seller List View is enabled, customer has to scroll down on the product page to check and view the sellers selling that global product.
From here, the customer can add the product directly to their cart by tapping on Add To Cart and proceed with their purchase.
