The Odoo Competitor Price Monitoring module lets you check competitors’ pricing strategies. Moreover, the Odoo app permits tracking competitors’ price changes and making informed pricing decisions.

The module sends an email on price updates (based on configuration). It further assists you in staying competitive in the dynamic market.

INSTALLATION

1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘competitor_price_monitoring.’
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘competitor_price_monitoring.’
7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

Now, let’s see how to configure Odoo Competitor Price Monitoring.

CONFIGURATION

1. Navigate to the ‘Price Monitoring’ module, click on the ‘Product Feeds> New,’ and create a feed. 

2. Fill in the product name in the form, select the price notification rule, and add one of your related products. After that, click the ‘Add a Line’ option in the ‘Suppliers’ tab.

3. In the popup wizard, enter the competitor’s product URL. It will automatically detect and fetch the website. Once done, click the ‘Fetch Data’ button to get prices.

4. After saving, click the ‘Compare Price’ button to get prices.

5. Next, move to the ‘Configuration> Websites’ to add competitors website.

6. Enter the website name, website, and sample product URL in the form. Additionally, in the ‘Python Code’ tab, enter the displayed code. It will execute the fetch competitor’s prices.

7. Move to the ‘Configuration> Price Notification Rules’ to check the available rules. Additionally, you can create one with the ‘New’ button.

8. To add a notification rule, enter the name, select action, responsible, and email template.

9. Once done, open ‘Configuration> Scheduler.’ In the form, specify the ‘execute every (day), and check the active status, number of calls, and priority.’ You can also run it manually from the provided button. 

10.  The received mail will contain details as shown below, or it can be different based on the template.
