User Guide for Odoo Sales Order Total Discount

INTRODUCTION

Attract customers to your website with Odoo Sales Order Total Discount!

Applying several types of discounts and coupons on a product can mess things up because now you have to calculate the final product price after all these discounts.  Additionally, it becomes even more hectic when there is more than one item in the cart.

So, how to overcome this problem and calculate the products’ final price?

To make things convenient for you and allow you to calculate the final price of the product(s) hassle-freely, we present to you Odoo Sales Order Total Discount.

This module will let you calculate the products’ final price easily, even after applying multiple coupons and discounts. Further, you can configure it to exclude products from giving discounts too.

FEATURES

1. The modules enable you to calculate the total discount on an order placed on your Odoo website.
2. Additionally, the module will calculate the discount applied on every product and will showcase it on the checkout page.
3. Calculates the discount available as an offer on any product in the cart.
4. You can also add a delivery message with a total discount field in the report.
5. Manage products for discounts from the backend.
6. Also, you can exclude the products from discounts in Odoo.
7. You can even exclude products on which you want to provide any discount.
8. You can add a delivery discount message.
9. Moreover, you can show the total discount availed of an order.
10. Set discount types at global and inline-level – Fixed and Percent based.
11. You can even show the discount details on the downloaded/printed sales order.
12. You can apply either fixed or percent discount Types on the sales order.

INSTALLATION

1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘total_discount.’
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘total_discount.’
7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW CONFIGURATION

1. Firstly, open your Odoo backend and go to ‘Sales> Configuration> Discount Configuration,’ and click the ‘Create’ button.

2. Now fill in the details such as ‘Configuration Name, Delivery Discount Message, Include Negative Price Product, and Exclude Products.’

Note: The products you mention in the Exclude Products will be excluded from the discount.

3. After that, go to ‘Settings> Website’ and locate ‘Discounts’ under ‘Pricing’ and check the box next to it. Once done, click on the ‘Save’ button. After saving, click on the ‘Pricelists’ under the same menu.

4. On the pricelists page, open the ‘Public Pricelist’ and click on the ‘Configuration’ tab. In the discounts section, choose ‘Show Public Price & Discount To Customer’ and ‘Save’ the changes.

5. On the website, when you add products to the cart and checkout to the next page and have applied multiple discount coupons on it. You will see the total value of the discount on every product.

Note: If you have added products that you exclude while configuring total discounts.
