User Guide of CS-Cart eBay Connector

CS-Cart eBay Connector helps merchants manage products, listings, orders, inventory, and shipments between CS-Cart and eBay.

Many CS-Cart sellers manage multiple stores and need an efficient way to connect their CS-Cart store with eBay.

It saves time, reduces manual work, and improves overall store management and operational efficiency.

Go to Manage Add-ons, and click on the Settings icon > Manual Installation as shown below in the snapshot.

Click on “Local” to browse the zip file and then click on “Upload & Install” as shown below in snapshot.

Once the addon is installed successfully, we need to configure the settings of the addon.

General Settings

The General Settings section allows the admin to configure the basic eBay integration details and connection settings. Enter the required eBay credentials and select the appropriate environment and marketplace.

• Client ID: Enter the eBay application Client ID.
• Client Secret: Enter the eBay application Client Secret.
• RuName: Enter the eBay Redirect URL Name (RuName).
• Environment Mode: Select the required environment, such as Live Mode (Production).
• Marketplace: Select the eBay marketplace where the store will operate.

Global Product Settings

The Global Product Settings section allows the admin to configure the default options for products imported from or managed through eBay.

• Default CS-Cart Category: Select the default CS-Cart category for imported eBay products.
• Testing: Enable this option when testing the eBay integration.
• Product Variation: Select Yes or No to enable or disable product variations.
• Default Currency for Product: Select the default currency to be used for product prices.

Global Order Settings

The Global Order Settings section allows the admin to configure the default status for orders imported from eBay.

• Default Global Order Import Status: Select the CS-Cart order status that will be assigned to orders when they are imported from eBay.

eBay Scopes

The eBay Scopes section allows the admin to select the API permissions required for the connector to access and manage eBay services.

• Check All / Clear: Select all available scopes or clear all selections.

• sell.marketing.readonly: View marketing information.
• sell.inventory: Manage eBay inventory and listings.
• sell.inventory.readonly: View inventory information.
• sell.account: Manage eBay seller account settings.

How to get an eBay credential to connect with CS-Cart?

After the successful installation of the Cs-Cart eBay Connector extension, Now user needs to take the API credential for integration. (Client ID, Dev ID, Client Secret, RuName)

If the user has already a login id or password then they need to go directly login page and get credentials if not then they need to signup for require keys.

First Step

To create a new account go to developer.ebay.com and click on the Join link.

After clicking on Join the user need to click on “Register Now”

Second step

Now, create a username and password for your account and then click the join button.

After registration, the user needs to enter their login credential.

Third Step

After signing in, you need to create a keyset link after that you will get Client ID, Dev ID, and Client Secret.

Note- The user has to generate a keyset of App ID, Dev ID, and Cert ID.

Fourth Step

To get “RuName” you need to click “User Access Token” After that user needs to click on “Add eBay Redirect URL”.

After that, you need to enter some required fields.

• Display Title- Need to enter the display title according to the user’s preferences.
• Your Privacy policy URL- Here the user needs to provide their instance privacy URL. Example –https://your-domain.com/privacy-policy/
• Your auth accepted the URL and Your auth declined the URL- For both fields the URL would be the same. Example – https://your-domain.com/admin.php?dispatch=eBay_connector.auth

Fifth Step

Create a Test User Sandbox

Here the user needs to register for a test user sandbox. Click on “Tools” >“eBay Sandbox”>“Create Test Users”.

Note: This test user sandbox registration is compulsory for account approval authentication.

After clicking on the “Create test user” the user needs to enter all required fields for registration.

Add eBay Account Credential

To add credentials the admin needs to click on the “Marketing” after need to click on “eBay connector”.

The eBay account is now connected through eBay’s secure authentication process. The admin does not need to manually enter eBay account credentials in the CS-Cart connector.

The connected eBay account will then be available for managing products, orders, listings, inventory, and other eBay operations.

Click Connect to eBay to start the account connection process.

You will be redirected to the eBay website to complete the authentication.

Sign in to your eBay account and provide the required information on the eBay side.

Select the required eBay marketplace and complete the authorization process.

After successful authorization, you will be redirected back to CS-Cart.

Update eBay Account

The Update eBay Account section allows the admin to manage the settings of a connected eBay account.

Store Settings

• Marketplace: Select the eBay marketplace associated with the connected account.
• Store Name: Enter or update the name used to identify the connected eBay store.
• Store Settings: Configure the general settings for the connected eBay store.
• Product Settings: Manage product import, export, and synchronization settings.
• Order Settings: Configure eBay order import and synchronization preferences.
• Webhook Settings: Manage webhook settings for receiving updates from eBay.

 Product Settings

 section allows the admin to configure the default options for products imported from and exported to eBay.

• Default CS-Cart Category: Select the default CS-Cart category for products imported from eBay.
• Testing: Enable this option when testing the eBay integration.
• Product Variation: Select Yes or No to enable or disable product variations.
• Default Currency for Product: Select the default currency for product prices.
• Default eBay Category: Select the default eBay category for products exported from CS-Cart.
• Default eBay Leaf Category: Select the default leaf category for exported products when no specific category mapping is available.
• Product Update: Select Yes or No to allow or prevent product information from being updated on eBay.

Order Settings 

section allows the admin to configure how eBay orders are imported and mapped to CS-Cart.

• Default Payment for Order Import: Select the default CS-Cart payment method for imported eBay orders.
• Default Shipping for Order Import: Select the default shipping method for imported eBay orders.
• Import Order from eBay to CS-Cart: Select Yes or No to enable or disable eBay order imports.
• Default Import Status: Select the default CS-Cart status assigned to orders after they are imported.
• Payment Method Mapping: Map eBay payment methods to their corresponding CS-Cart payment methods.
• Order Status Mapping: Map eBay order statuses to the corresponding CS-Cart order statuses.
• Add: Add additional payment method or order status mappings as required.

Webhook Settings

The Webhook Settings section allows the admin to manage the eBay events that trigger automatic updates in CS-Cart.

• AuctionCheckoutComplete: Receives updates when an auction checkout is completed.
• FixedPriceTransaction: Receives updates for fixed-price transactions.
• ItemRevised: Updates product information when an eBay listing is revised.
• ItemSold: Receives notifications when an eBay product is sold.
• ItemClosed: Removes or updates the product when an eBay listing is closed.
• ItemMarkedShipped: Receives shipment updates when an order is marked as shipped.
• BuyerCancelRequested: Receives notifications when a buyer requests order cancellation.

Authenticate

After entering all the required fields to add an eBay account and product set. Now the user needs to click on “Authenticate & Save”. then the user will redirect to the eBay login page.

Here the user needs to provide sign-in credentials to whichever user entered during the registration of the sandbox.

eBay Account Approval

After getting approval from eBay, Now the admin needs to click on the setting button and then he will get “Edit”, “Delete”, “Manage eBay products”, “Import Product”, “Manage category mapping”, “Manage Policy” and “Manage Inventory Location”.

Now, Admin needs to mark that particular Vendor as default by clicking on the Mark as default option as mentioned in the snapshot below:

Manage Policy

Now, the admin needs to get “Fulfillment Policy”, “Payment Policy” and “Return Policy”.

Payment Policy

Now, the user needs to get the payment policy by clicking on “Get Payment Policy”.

Return Policy

Now, the user needs to get the return policy by clicking on “Get Return Policy”.

Manage Inventory Location

Now, the admin needs to get the inventory location by clicking on “Get Inventory Location”.

Manage Category Mapping

Here the admin needs to map the category in the CS-Cart store or in the eBay store.

If the admin export or import from the CS-Cart then products will be assigned to selected eBay categories and vice-versa.

Manage eBay Products

Here the admin can import all eBay products from the eBay store by clicking on “Import eBay Product”.

Import Products

Under this section, the admin will be able to import the products that might have been missed while importing from eBay.

To do so, the admin can manually choose the date range between which the products at eBay should be imported to the CS-Cart store and tap the import button after that.

Export/Remove Products

The admin can export/remove the products from the CS-Cart to the eBay store. First, need to click on “Product” and then need to the Click on “Send selected to eBay” or “Remove form eBay”.

Here the admin can enter the required fields to export products to eBay.

Syncing of products from Cs-Cart to eBay

First, you need to create a new product for that Go to product click on products from the drop-down then you need to click on the plus icon for adding a new product.

After entering the details click on save.

Now go to Marketing click on eBay connector from the drop-down, next click on the settings option click on Manage eBay Product there you will see the product you have created:

Product sync automatically.
