PrestaShop Social Network Tabs {User-Guide}

Nowadays, everyone is on social media websites. Many of us like to keep posting our life updates on these websites to inform our friends & followers. Hence, merchants can also use social media websites for the promotion of the store. In order to provide the functionality at the store, Prestashop social network tabs will surely help you. Add widgets of multiple social websites on the home page of your shop. And, let your customers follow your shop or store with the help of these small widgets.

Note: Prestashop Social Network Tabs module is compatible with PrestaShop version 8.x.x and multi-store feature.

• Add social icons such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Linkedin, and Instagram in a custom tab.
• Easily manage the configuration of your social media links.
• Select the social network tabs position – left, right, top, or bottom.
• Set the height and width of the tab.
• Automatically open the social network tab popup on page load.
• Automatically close the popup when the user escapes the popup window.
• Customize the appearance of social network tabs by setting their background color.
• PrestaShop Social Network Tabs supports multiple languages.

• Firstly, Go to the Module Manager in Back office and click on ‘upload a module’.
• After that, Drag and drop the module file or select the file from the system.
• In this way, the module installation will be successful.

After the successful installation of the module, admin needs to configure it.

Under Social Network Setting, admin can manage the configuration of social media links.

Twitter Configuration

Under this tab, admin needs to specify Twitter Id to show feeds from his Twitter profile. Also, admin has to specify the Twitter title to display i the popup.

Facebook Configuration

Here admin needs to specify the Facebook Id to display feeds or posts from his Facebook profile. Also, specify the Facebook title to display on the tab.

Facebook Like Configuration

Specify Facebook like Id to show the Facebook like tab at the front end.

Facebook Recommendation Configuration

Under this tab, admin needs to specify Facebook Id to show Facebook recommend button at the front end.

YouTube Configuration

Under YouTube Configuration, admin:

• Needs to specify the YouTube API key to integrate the Prestashop store with YouTube.
• Has to specify the YouTube Id to show videos from his YouTube channel.
• Can set the number of videos to be displayed at front end.

Pinterest Configuration

Under this tab, admin needs to specify Pinterest ID to show feeds from his Pinterest profile. Also, the admin has to specify Pinterest title to display in the popup.

Linkedin Configuration

Admin needs to specify the Linkedin member public profile url to show posts from his Linkedin profile.

Instagram Configuration

Under Instagram Configuration, admin:

• Needs to specify the Instagram App Id and secret key to integrate Instagram account with Prestashop store.
• Has to specify the Instagram title to be displayed in the popup.
• Can set the number of Instagram posts to display at the front end.

Post-configuration, the social network tabs will be visible to the users in the Prestashop store as shown in the below screenshot.

When a user clicks on social network tab, a popup window appears where a user can view posts or feeds from admin’s social profile.

Under General settings, admin can:

• Select the position where he wants to show the social networking tab.
• Set the height and width of the tab.
• Choose to automatically open the popup window when the page is loaded.
• Choose to automatically close the popup when user escape the website window.
• Set the popup sliding speed.

Under this tab, admin can set the background color of the social network tabs. If admin has not selected background color for any social network tab, then default background color will be used for that tab.
