PrestaShop Marketplace Sell in Multiples of Quantities facilitates the sellers to set the minimum and maximum quantity of a product that a customer can buy at a time.

Sellers can optimize their sales strategy by controlling the quantity of products a customer can order at a time.

How to Install Prestashop Marketplace Sell in Multiples of Quantities

For installing this module, you need to install the Prestashop Advanced Multi Vendor Marketplace module first.

  • Firstly, go to the module manager in the back office and click on ‘upload a module’.
  • After that, drag and drop the module file or select the file from the system
  • In this way, the module installation will be successful.

Seller End Workflow

After the successful installation of the module, a new ‘Multiple Unit Rule’ gets available in seller’s account. From here, the seller can add and manage sell unit rules.

Click on ‘Add Seller Unit Rule’ button.

On clicking the button, a form appears on the page with the following options:

  1. Title: Specify the sell unit rule title here.
  2. Priority: If the product falls into multiple rules, then the rule with highest priority will apply on the product.
  3. Increment unit quantity for sell: Set the incremental unit by which the quantity will increment on each customer click.
  4. Minimum quantity for sell: Here you need to specify the minimum quantity that a customer has to purchase. It should be equal to the increment unit or in multiples of the increment unit.
  5. Maximum quantity for sell: Enter the maximum quantity that a customer can purchase. Also, the quantity should be in multiples of the incremental unit.
  6. Start date and end date: Here you need to select the date range for which the rule will be applicable.
  7. Status: Enable or disable the sell unit rule.
  8. Product name pattern: Here you need to enter the initial characters of the product name and based on that, the products will be searched.
  9. Categories, brands, and suppliers: The sell unit rule will apply to the products associated with the categories, brands, and suppliers.
  10. Minimum product price and maximum product price: Define the price range according to which the products will be searched.

Suppose, the seller has entered ‘humm’ in the product name pattern field and selected:

  • Clothes and Art categories.
  • The Vogue brand.
  • Demo supplier.
  • 9 – 99 price range.

Now, when the seller clicks on the search button, the products associated with the selected categories, brands, and suppliers, and the ones that fall into the specified price range will display on the page.

Once added, the seller can view it under the ‘Seller Multiple Unit Rules’ tab.

Front End Workflow

As per the rule, the option to select a quantity less than 2 is not possible for the customer. If a customer selects a quantity less than 2, then a warning message will display on the product page.

A similar kind of popup will also display on the page if a customer selects a quantity greater than the set quantity i.e. 8.

The seller can add sell unit for multiple products at once through a CSV file. In a CSV file, the seller needs to enter increment unit, minimum, and maximum quantities against product id and combination.

Post-installation, a new tab ‘Seller multiple unit’ gets available in the add/update product page. From this tab, the seller can apply multiple unit rule on a product.

After enabling the setting, the can set the increment, minimum, and maximum quantity for sale.

Kindly note, that if a seller has applied a sale setting on the product and the same product comes under the sell unit rule, then the priority will be given to the individual product setting.

As per the settings, the customer can select the quantity in multiples of 3 only.

Also, a warning message will display on the product page if a customer selects the quantity less than 3 and greater than 3.

Admin End

After the installation of the module, a new tab ‘Multiple Sell Unit’ gets available in the back office. From here, the admin can view a list of sell unit rules added by sellers.

Admin can update seller’s rule by clicking on the ‘Edit’ button.

The admin can also sell unit rule on behalf of seller by clicking on ‘Add new rule’ button.

Once added the seller can view it under ‘Seller Multiple Unit Rules’ tab.

Under this tab, the admin can upload CSV for products sell unit on seller’s behalf.
