The Opencart Marketplace Seller Custom Options module enables the seller to create custom options for various input types like select, text area, text box, date time etc for their products. This admin can even authenticate seller to use the options created by admin and/or other sellers. Also, the admin can view and manage all the options.
Note: This is an add-on for the Marketplace Module, so marketplace module must be installed before installing the Opencart Marketplace Seller Custom Options.

Installation of the Opencart module is very simple. In the zip file, you will find 4 folders admin, catalog, theme patch, and ocmod folders. You just need to move admin and catalog folder into the root directory of your Opencart website.
If you are using a custom theme like Journal then we provide Journal theme patch (directory) in the module zip. While installing the module, navigate through Theme Patch->Journal2 folder and you will get “Catalog” folder. Just upload the “Catalog” folder into your pencart root directory for the proper functioning of the module with the Journal Theme.
Once you have uploaded the file then login to admin and from catalog section go to Extensions> Extension installer and upload the XML file. The XML file can be found on the tocmod folder under module directory. From here you can upload seller_custom_option.ocmod.xml file.
After uploading the seller_custom_option.ocmod.xml file go to the Extensions > Modification and click on refresh field.
After that in Admin panel go to System -> Users -> Usergroup and edit ‘Administrator’ and choose select all for both Access and Modify Permission and save it.
After that under Extension > Module, install the Seller Custom Option Module like this way.

Admin can enable the module and select which group of option a seller can use.
All options – If this option is selected by admin then the seller can use all the options which are created by admin and other sellers.
Single Seller Option – If this option is selected by admin then the seller can only use self-created options.
All seller options – If this option is selected by admin then the seller can use all the options which are created by sellers in the store.
Single seller with default options – If this option is selected by admin then the seller can only use the default options of admin and the option which are created by him/her.
Once the module enables, go to Extension>Module> Marketplace and click on edit. After that allow the custom option in account menu from the Marketplace module so that option can get visible on the account page.
How Seller Can Create Custom Options And Edit Options
Creating Opencart Marketplace Seller Custom Options is very easy for sellers. Once admin enables the module the ‘Custom Option’ is visible on seller end.
After you click on add option button you will get a new page to create option.
Once the option is created the list is visible under custom option from where you can also edit the option.
Once you have created custom option you can select the option for your product under the options tab.
On the product page, the customers can view the product custom options and accordingly will select them as per the below image.
When a customer buys a product by selecting custom option then the additional price for that custom option will be added to that product if configured by the seller as per the above image.
The customers can view their selected custom options on the cart and checkout page as well.
