Odoo Website Product Variant Search: Search any product variant in no time!!

Searching for a product on an eCommerce website is a difficult situation to cope up with. Due to this, customers leave the website without any purchase that results in loss of sales. To overcome this situation, Webkul offers Odoo Website Product Variant Search that enables your customers to quickly find their desired products without any hassle.

The module facilitates your customers to view all the variants of the products directly on the search bar. This enables customers to directly navigate to the product page of the variant and compels them to go instant purchase. Like this, they can easily find the products on your website and results in a rapid increase in your sales and profits.

INSTALLATION

1. Once you have purchased the module from our Webkul store, you will receive a link to download the zip file of the module.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘wk_variant_search’.
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode. You can activate the developer mode by typing ‘debug’ after ‘web?’ in the URL as well.
5. Now, open the Apps menu and click on the ‘Update Modules List’.
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘wk_variant_search’.
7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

Admin’s Interface

1. Once the installation is completed, visit the backend of the Odoo website and follow the path Products>>Products.

2. You can see the list of products available on your website. Click on any product as per your wish.

3. You will see the product details and its variants. These variants will be shown in the search bar too on the frontend of the website

Customer’s Interface

4. Visit the front-end of the website and click on the ‘Shop’ button.

5. Click on the ‘Search Bar‘ and type the product name you wish to buy. You will be able to see the product variants too.

6. Like this, you will be able to navigate your customers directly to the product page of the variants too, and compel them to go for instant purchase.
