INSTALLATION 

1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.

2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘geolocation_share’.

3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.

4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.

5. Then, open the Apps menu and click ‘Update Modules List.’

6. In the search bar, remove all the filters. Search ‘geolocation_share’.

7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

CONFIGURATION 

1. Under the Settings module, locate Geo Localization settings, activate it and save. After that, Select the type of Map for integration.

2. If Google Maps is chosen, an API key would be required. However, if OpenStreetMap is selected, no API key would be required.

GOOGLE MAPS API SETUP

1. To generate the API Key, click on this link. Under the Credentials Section, Click on ‘Create Credentials’ and select the ‘API Key’.

2. Copy this API Key and paste it into the Key section shown before.

3. Afterwards, select ‘Enabled APIs and Services’.

4. Search for the following API Libraries:

• Geocoding API
• Maps JavaScript API
• Maps Static API

7. Open them and click on Enable for all of them. Now, the module is ready for use.

USER’s POV

1. After logging in to Odoo, click on the Profile and select ‘My Account’.

2. Select the ‘Edit’ icon in the Account Details corner.

3. Here, select the exact location, and the address will be automatically filled.

4. At the checkout page, select ‘Proceed Checkout’.

5. Click on Edit to Change Address.

6. Under Shipping Address, Select ‘Add an address’.

7. The Browser would ask for permission to Allow Location share. Click on ‘Allow’.

8. The Location is automatically fetched with Google Maps API.
