INSTALLATION
1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘payment_cash_on_delivery’.
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Apps menu and click ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters. Search ‘payment_cash_on_delivery’.
7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.
WORKFLOW
CONFIGURATION
1. Under Website Module, Navigate to Configuration and Select Payment Providers. From the providers’ list, select the ‘COD’ option.
2. Here, Toggle Published to Publish it on the website as a payment method. Select the COD State, set up COD Availability Rules, and select the default rule.
Click on the arrow on the right corner of the form to configure the rules.
3. Here, you can configure Minimum and Maximum Order Amounts and add products excluded from the COD products.
For Country filtering, click ‘Add a line’ to add a country to the allowed list.
4. Select Counties and States to allow for COD. Also, you can add zip codes to permit the COD option in those specified areas. If left empty, all zip codes will be allowed.
5. Under the Configuration tab, set Payment Form, Availability, and Payment Followup settings.
6. Under the Messages tab, we can configure Messages for users through different payment stages.
WEBSITE VIEW
1. Under Shop, if COD is available, then ‘COD AVAILABLE’ is flashed. If unavailable for that product, ‘Currently we do not provide COD for this item’ is shown.
2. During the checkout, select The COD option and click Pay Now.
BACKEND DISPLAY OF TRANSACTION
1. To view transaction history, activate developer mode.
2. Under Configuration of Invoicing Module, select Payment Transactions.
3. Here, all Payment Invoices can be seen along with their payment provider. Select the Sales order.
4. Here, ‘Provider’ and ‘Code’ indicate that the Sales Order generated is on Cash on Delivery
