    Odoo POS Order Notes

    INTRODUCTION

    Odoo POS Order Notes module facilitates the user to add order notes to individual order lines ,at the end of complete order (for his/her internal reference) and even it can be printed on receipt too if desired. Adding an order note helps you with custom message to be displayed with the order.

    Features

    • Notes can be added on each order line in POS frontend.
    • Notes can be added for complete order.
    • Order note feature can be activated/deactivated by seller.
    • Seller can print the order note on the receipt if desired.

    Workflow

    POS Order Notes Configuration

    Once you install the POS Order Notes module you would be required to configure  it. You can do so just by following the path Point of Sale>Configuration>Point of Sale.Click on the POS name for which you have to add order notes.


    Click on edit and scroll down to Order note options. Check all the options as shown below and click on save.

    Effect Of POS Order Notes Module at Frontend

    In POS, select the order line in which you want to add/modify note and click on ‘Add/Modify Note‘ button.A pop up window will appear, add the required note and click on ok. Added note will be shown just below the order line in which it is added. 

    Click on payment, and a new field will be available where you can add order note.


    After validating the order note will be displayed on the print receipt as shown below.

    Effect of POS Order Notes Module at Backend

    On POS order line, a new column named ‘Extra comments‘ is added in which note added to the individual order lines is shown.

    Similarly note added for the complete order can be seen under Notes tab of sales order.
