Odoo Drip Mass Mailing

WHAT DOES IT DO…

Drip email campaign is an automated mass mailing marketing strategy to direct new visitors to your website and retain old customers. The emails are pre-designed and sent to the customers at appropriate times to entice them in order to boost the conversions. Odoo Drip mass mailing Module provides you with the perfect back-end configuration to start your drip mass mailing campaign to design and send emails to your customers at scheduled times.

Design various mail templates and set the timers so they reach out to your prospects at the exact time which you want. Nurture them into possible leads and then faithful customers. OR, retain your existing customers to keep those bills rollings.

HOW TO INSTALL DRIP MAIL MODULE

Once you purchase the App from Webkul’s store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.

1.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘drip_mass_mailing’.
2.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo add-ons path.
3.) Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
4.) Then, open on Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List’.
5.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘drip_mass_mailing’.
6.) You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

Once installed, you will be able to start your Drip mass mailing campaign.

WORKIN WITH IT…

1.) Open your Odoo back-end interface. You can see a new menu- ‘Mail Marketing’ to handle the mass mailing campaign.

2.) Now, click on Contacts >> Create to add the details of the mails recipients.

3.) On the contact form, fill in the Name and Email Address of the person. Fill in other details and click Save

Design Drip Mail Templates

4.) Next, you would need to create drip templates to reach out to your audience. Click on the submenu- ‘Drip Templates’. Then click on Create.

5.) Here, enter the appropriate Name/Title of the template. Say, ‘Welcome mail template’ for new subscribers.

6.) In the field- ‘Applies For’ choose ‘Mass mailing Contact’.

7.) Enter the Subject and Body of the mail. You can also attach files(if any) to the mail. Fill other details and click Save.

Creating Mailing Lists

Now we are ready to design the mailing lists for your mass mailing campaign.

8.) Click on the Mailing List >> Create.

9.) Choose the Name of the mailing list. Then, tick on ‘Enable Drip Mass mailing Feature’ to activate drip mass mailing. A new menu would pop up at the bottom.

10.) Add the Start and End date of Drip Mass mailing campaign and outgoing mail server in the form.

11.) Now, click on ‘Add an item’ under Drip template submenu in the form.

12.) Here, fill the Details in the fields- Name (custom name of the mail like Summer Sale Offer Mail) and select the drip template from the prepared templates.

13.) Note- the field- After(Days) is used to mark the sequence of the mails for the Cron. Enter the day on which the specific mail would be sent to the recipient after he/she subscribes or the mass mailing campaign starts. For example- enter ‘0’ to send mail on the first day. Similarly, ‘3’ would be the third day after the subscription starts.

Also, the after(days) should be mentioned in the increasing order downwards, with the first template at the top, second below it, third after the second and so on for the Cron to pick the emails correctly.

14.) Click Recipients tab to add the mails receivers.

15.) Here, click on Create to add the recipients in the same way as we added the contacts.

16.) Click on Save and you are all set for the mailing the prospects.

Now, the mail would be picked up by the Cron automatically as per the after days set in the templates and sent to the recipients.
