Magento Marketplace Vendor Attribute Manager module allows the admin to create vendor’s custom attributes. Vendor/Seller can fill these attributes on registration field and can also update these attributes on Vendor’s/seller’s profile page. With the help of this module, users can find all custom attributes created by admin on vendor/seller profile page.
This module is an add-on of Marketplace Module. To use this module you must have installed Marketplace Module first.

Installation Of Magento Marketplace Vendor Attribute Manager
Magento Marketplace Vendor Attribute Manager module installation is very easy. You just need to move app & skin folder into Magento root directory that’s it as per the screenshot.
After moving both the folder flush the cache from Magento admin panel. Under System > Cache Management.
Configuration Of Magento Marketplace Vendor Attribute Manager
After the successful installation of the Magento Marketplace Vendor Attribute Manager module, you will find the configuration panel under System > Configuration > Vendor Attributes Manager. Here admin can set the visibility of attributes on registration and profile page, allowed extensions for image and file.
After the successful installation of the Magento Marketplace Vendor Attribute Manager module, Admin can find Vendor’s Attributes tab under Marketplace Management > Vendor Attribute Manager as per the below screen.
When the admin clicks on “New Attribute”, below page will appear. Here admin can create new attributes for the seller and also update existing one.
Attribute Code
Attribute code must be unique. Space can not be used in this field and first character should be a letter.
Input Type
This field describes what kind of data the attribute will store. What’s set here determines how data entry for this attribute will take place.
Values Required
If you select “yes”, you will be required to enter data in this attribute field. Else select “No”.
Input Validation
This field decides which type of data can be filled by seller/admin for that particular seller attribute. Like if validation is set to Letters, you will only be able to enter letters. An error will occur if you try to put numbers in this field.
Order
Here Admin can set the order for attributes. This will determine in which order or sequence each attribute is listed in the front-end.
You can also Manage Label/Option for admin & store which will display in front.
You can also update and delete the existing attributes by simply clicking on vendor attribute grid.
Front End management Of Magento Marketplace Vendor Attribute Manager
After installation and configuration of Vendor Attribute module, you will see a link “Vendor Registration” on the bottom of the page as per below screenshot.
Once the user/customer clicks on “Vendor Registration” link, a page will appear with the vendor registration form. Here vendor/seller can fill all the required attributes.
Customers can find all custom vendor attributes on the vendor profile page and vendor/seller can update these attributes on their edit profile page. Let’s see vendor attributes on edit profile page in below screenshot.
The buyer can see the seller information at seller profile page. Refer to the below screenshot for the same.
Admin can also view and edit the seller custom attribute info under Customer > Manage Customer > Account Information.
