INSTALLATION 

1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.

2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named ‘Odoo Marketplace Web Push Notifications’.

3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add Ons path.

4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.

5. Then, open the Apps menu and click ‘Update Modules List.’

6. In the search bar, remove all the filters. Search ‘Odoo Marketplace Web Push Notifications’.

7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

CONFIGURATION FROM ADMIN

1. Navigate to the Settings module and select Configuration under the Push Notification Tab.

2. Add Firebase Key and Object, then click Apply. To configure Firebase, refer to the user guide of Base Module Odoo Web Push Notification.

USER POV

1. Odoo Users can create an account on the website.

2. Fill in the following details for the user Sign up

3. After signup, a browser popup will ask for Permission to show Notifications. Click on Allow.

4. Admin can trigger push notifications of marketplace accordingly. It would look something like this on the user end.

ADMIN POV

1. Click on Registered Users under the Push Notifications tab.

2. Here, Users of marketplace websites who accept notification permission are shown. Only users who accept permission to receive push notifications will be listed here.

3. Click on Create to add a new user by entering their Registration ID. Only Admins have access to view Marketplace Registered viewers. Sellers do not have this access.

4. For Push notifications, select Notification Templates under the Push Notifications tab. Click New to create a new template.

5. Fill in all the relevant details of Notification and click on Validate.

6. Select Send Notifications button to generate a push notification.

7. A popup will appear to confirm the type of users you want to target. Click Send.

8. A Push notification summary popup confirms the broadcast of the notification. It provides count of successes and failures.

9. Push Notification Templates can be sent to specific users. Select user type under the Send To heading.

10. Individually select Registered Users or click New to create one. Then, click Select to add them to the template.

11. Push Notification can be Scheduled during template creation. Click on Schedule notification.

12. Configure the Push Notification Cron pop up and click on Save.

SELLER POV

1. Sellers can only configure Notification templates and send out push notifications to their users.

2. For Push notifications, select Notification Templates under the Push Notifications tab. Click New to create a new template.

3. Fill in all the relevant details of the Notification and click on Validate.

4. Select Send Notifications button to generate a push notification.

5. A popup will appear to confirm the type of users you want to target. Click Send.
