User Guide for ERPNext Website Product FAQ

ERPNext Website Product FAQ helps businesses create and manage product-specific FAQs directly from ERPNext. Each FAQ is linked to a Website Item, so the correct questions and answers are shown on the right product page.

The module lets you add, edit, and manage FAQs from the Product FAQ document or directly from the Website Item. You can control the display order, choose which FAQs are visible on the website, and disable FAQs for selected products. The module also uses cached FAQ data to improve website speed and automatically refreshes the cache whenever FAQs are updated.

ERPNext module name works in conjunction with the following module:

Webshop

You must install the above-mentioned module to use the ERPNext Website Product FAQ.

• Create product-specific FAQs for every Website Item.
• Add, edit, and manage FAQs directly from the product page.
• Display FAQs automatically on website product pages.
• Control the display order using sequence numbers.
• Show or hide individual FAQs on the website.
• Disable FAQs for selected Website Items.
• Improve website performance with cached FAQ data.
• Refresh the FAQ cache automatically after updates.

1. After purchasing the app from the Webkul store, you will receive a link to download the module ZIP file.

2. Extract the downloaded ZIP file, and you will see a folder named ‘website_product_faq’.

3. Set up the module in your Git repository.

4. If the app is hosted on GitHub, fetch it using the command:

bench get-app –branch main 

https://github.com/your_account/website_product_faq.git

(Replace “main” with your branch name and replace the “HTTPs URL” with your HTTPS clone URL.)

5. Install the app on your site using the command:

bench --site <your-site_name> install-app website_product_faq

6. Finally, run the “bench migrate” command to complete the installation.

1. First, click the FAQ icon from the ERPNext backend to open the ERPNext Website Product FAQ module. This will open the main dashboard, where you can manage all product FAQs from one place.

2. Next, the ERPNext Website Product FAQ dashboard will open. Click Product FAQs to open the Product FAQ List, where you can view existing FAQs or create and manage new product FAQs.

3. After clicking Product FAQs, the Product FAQ List will open. Here, you can view all the existing product FAQs and manage them from one place.

4. Next, click any Product FAQ from the list to view its details. Here, you can review all the information related to the FAQ and edit it as needed. After making the required changes, click Save to update the FAQ.

5. To create a new FAQ, click Add Product FAQ on the Product FAQ List page. A new form will open where you need to enter the Question, Website Item, Product ID, Sequence Number, and Answer. 

After filling in all the required details, click Save to create the new FAQ.

6. You can also add FAQs directly from a Website Item. First, open the required Website Item and scroll down to the Product FAQ section. 

Next, click Add FAQ, then enter the Question, Answer, and Sequence Number. 

Finally, click Save to display the FAQ on the related product page of the webshop.

7. Finally, after adding FAQs to a product, customers can view them on the Webshop below the Product Details section. 

This helps customers quickly find answers to common questions before making a purchase.
