    CS-Cart Hyperlocal System

    Overview

    CS-Cart Hyperlocal System Add-on is a beneficial add-on with the help of which admin/vendor can easily add the location where they can ship their products hence making the system reliable for admin/vendor and also for their customers.
    Customers can enter their location and check the available products and vendors in that location. The vendor and admin can add their location according to which their products will be displayed to the customers.
    The vendor and admin can also add shipping rates according to the location range.

    **Note: You must have the Google API Key or HERE API Key to make use of this add-on.

    Features of CS-Cart Hyperlocal System

    • Well integrated with CS-Cart/CS-Cart Multi-Vendor/Multi-Vendor Plus/Multi-Vendor Ultimate.
    • Admin/vendor can set multiple locations where they can ship their products.
    • The option is available for customers to buy products from those sellers who are selling at the location entered by them.
    • The flexibility is provided to the customers to change their location.
    • Customers can enter the desired pincode and can buy the products from the sellers, providing shipping services in that locality.
    • Vendors can decide shipping rates for products and categories based on the distance and time.
    • Vendors can charge different shipping rates for products based on delivery time chosen by the customers.
    • Admin can set any shipping method as the Hyperlocal Shipping Method.
    • Admin can set default shipping rates and time of delivery for products and categories.

    The flow of Installation and Configuration

    Step 1

    When you’ll download the “CS-Cart Hyperlocal System” add-on, you’ll get one zip file and the install.txt file. Read it carefully and follow it. Firstly click on the plus icon to upload the zip file.

    Now, Click on “Local” to browse the zip file and then click on “Upload & Install” as shown in the below snapshot.

    After installation of the add-on, you will find the “Hyperlocal System” add-on in the list of the available add-on. Make sure, the add-on is activated as shown in the below snapshot.

    Step 2

    Now after the installation of the add-on, click on the settings as shown below in the snapshots –

    When you will click on settings then after that in General tab, you will need to enter the details as shown below.

    • API Selection – In this section, you will need to select the API i.e, Google API or HERE API.
    • Google API Key – If you have selected the Google API then enter the Google API key.
    • Customer Location Method – Select the customer location method,if you will select search option, the customer will be shown a popup to enter his location and only the products which can be delivered in the customer’s location will be shown to him.
      On selecting pincode option, all the products will be shown to the customer and the customer will need to check the product’s availability by entering his pin code on the product’s detail page.
    • Customer Location Detection – Select the customer location detection ,if you will select auto option, the customer will be automatically shown the popup to enter the customer’s location.
      On selecting manual option, the customer will need to click on the location icon to get the popup box to set his location.
      • API Selection – In this section, you will need to select the API i.e, Google API or HERE API.
      • HERE App Id- If you have selected the HERE API then enter the Here App Id.
      • HERE App Code- If you have selected the HERE API then enter the Here App Code.
      • Customer Location Method – Select the customer location method,if you will select search option, the customer will be shown a popup to enter his location and only the products which can be delivered in the customer’s location will be shown to him.
        On selecting pincode option, all the products will be shown to the customer and the customer will need to check the product’s availability by entering his pin code on the product’s detail page.
      • Customer Location Detection – Select the customer location detection ,if you will select auto option, the customer will be automatically shown the popup to enter the customer’s location.

      After enetering all the details click on save to save all the settings.

    Now the next tab is of Shipping settings, click on it and enter the details as shown below –

    • Default Price- Set the default price. This price will be used to calculate the shipping rates for Hyperlocal Shipping if the vendor has not set the price for the particular product, there in the cart.
    • Default Distance – Enter the default distance for the price you have set. This distance will be used to calculate the shipping rates & time for Hyperlocal Shipping if the vendor has not set the distance for the particular product, there in the cart.
    • Default Distance Unit – Select the unit of the default distance.
    • Default Time – Enter the default time required to deliver the product for the set distance. This time will be used to calculate the shipping time for Hyperlocal Shipping when the vendor has not set the time for the particular product, there in the cart.
    • Default Time Unit- Select the unit of the default time.
    • After all the settings, click on save.

    How To Get The Google API and HERE API key

    • You can generate the Google API Keys by clicking here.
    • You can generate the HERE API Keys by clicking here.

    Step 3

    Now go to Vendors >> Hyperlocal Sytem >> Manage Area as shown below.

    Now, click on plus icon to add the area of the vendor’s store and also set the distance till where the vendors can ship their products as shown below-

    Now go to Vendors >> Hyperlocal Sytem >> Manage Shippings as shown below.

    Click on plus icon to add the shipping details for hyperlocal system as shown below.

    Next tab is of Products, click on add products option and add the products and close as shown below –

    Next tab is of Categories, click on add categories option and select the categories and click on add categories option displayed over the pop-up –

    Step 4

    Now go to Layouts to add the block of the hyperlocal system for storefront as shown –

    Front-End View

    At frontend customer will need to add his/her location and when customer will add the location, then only those products will be visible to the customers which can be shipped to their locations as shown below –

    Checkout View

    You can see the shipping rates are calculated at checkout page on the basis of time and location.

    In case of customer method location option is set as Pincode in settings then in this scenerio, customer will need to add their pincode to check the product’s availability of shipping for their location as shown below.

    Note – For using Hyperlocal system with the shipping methods, the hyperlocal shipping option must be activate for the shipping method from the backend panel as shown below –
