Overview

Here we will understand about Configuration of .env File in Shopware. We will also see how admin and front page will open after configuration.

.env file location

It founds in root directory where shopware installed. If this file doesn’t shows in directory then hit the ctrl+h Button.

Configuration in File

Now we will see the which type of changes we have to made in .env file.

you can check the configuration of .env file in above Snapshot.If you want to setup the Shopware at another url then you have to make some changes in the above file.

The changes have to made is in App_url. Here you need to add the url of store where you want to open the site.

In second steps you need to add database name in the DATABASE_URL. Details should be added as Db detail/Db name.

Now last steps you have to add the path of your installed shopware directory. It can be added in the COMPOSER_HOME. Path should be as like this root directory path/var/cache/composer.

This way we can configure the shopware.

Apart from this if you want to Deactivate the cache then Type “0” in SHOPWARE_HTTP_CACHE_ENABLED=0. And for activate cache Type “1” in SHOPWARE_HTTP_CACHE_ENABLED=1.

And on the other hand if you want to change the environment in APP_ENV then type APP_ENV=prod for production and type APP_ENV=dev for development mode.
