Guide for Akeneo SEO Manager App

Akeneo SEO Manager App provides the user with search engine optimization tools to optimize their product content as per SEO standards.

It ehances the content of the Product and Product Models both for them to be able to rank better.

Map product attributes with search engine optimization fields such as SEO title, Meta Description, Focus keyword, Heading and URL.

An in-built SEO meter displays the SEO correctness of the content and comes included with the application.

After searching for the SEO Manager App in the Akeneo app store, you have to tap the connect button,

Next, tap on the Connect button and on the page that appears, tap on the Allow and Next buttons to proceed further,

Afterwards, check and agree to the app’s privacy policy and terms and conditions,, and tap the Allow and Next button,

Thereafter, provide the access permissions to the category trees, including – Catgeory, Locale, Attribute Group, and others, and then tap the Next button after that.

Note: These app permissions appear in the case of Akeneo EE edition users only.

Now, confirm the access and tap the Confirm button.

After the permissions section, the app will be connected, and on the app page, you can see the notification for a 7-day trial period.

Now, the user can see the Akeno SEO Manager app connected, and tap on Open App to open it.

Akeneo App Flow Management:

To manage the Akeneo SEO Manager App, tap the Manage App button. Here, for the flow type, you need to select the Other type.

Note: You must select the Data Source flow type in the Growth, Flexibility, and Serenity editions.

After the app is connected and when opened, the user is redirected to the Plans page where they’ll have to purchase a plan as per requirement,

Now, the user will click on Buy Now to purchase a new plan. Then, they are redirected to PayPal to complete the transaction.

After successfull payment, user is redirected to the Plans page where the selected plan is now in Activated state.

SEO Configuration

Now, the user has to navigate to SEO Configuration section for the SEO field mapping process.
The mapping of the fields will be done as per the below image,

The SEO fields like Focus Keyword, Article Heading, URL etc. is mapp as per the requirement.

Both Common Attributes and Variant Attributes can map with the SEO fields. Once, the fields map, the user can click on the Save button.

SEO Analysis

After the successful field mapping process, the user can now proceed to SEO Analyzer section to analyze the product content.

Here, first they have to select either Product or Product Model to start the process. They can also differentiate based on Channel and Locale.

When the product type is select, proceed with selecting the product from the dropdown menu available.

Next, the in built SEO Analyzer will display the search engine optimization results for that selected product.

The SEO Snippet Preview is displays how the product gets visible on SERP along with Focus Keyword and SEO Title checker.

The SEO Title and Meta Description fields also get a word character count in built.

Further, The user will click on the Check button to start the SEO Analysis of the product content.

An SEO Meter is provided which depicts the correctness of the content filled out for that particular Product.

Using the above analysis, the user can now optimize the content for their Product and Product Model on Akeneo and help it to rank better.
