Jawab is a Saudi software firm behind Jawab ERP, a cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for small businesses.
One product covers sales, point of sale, stock, buying, accounting and online selling.
Because it builds for the Saudi and Gulf market, ZATCA e-invoicing sits at the centre of the offer.
ZATCA is the Saudi tax authority, and its e-invoicing rules apply to businesses across the Kingdom.
Rather than sell one general system, the company offers ready-to-use setups for each sector it serves.
It serves sectors such as food services and garages, and its site also lists retail, hospitality, trades and more.

The goal was to sell ERP as a subscription service, with each customer on its own Odoo instance.
That meant it needed a way to create, bill and manage many customer instances from one place.
The product also had to carry its own name, since customers buy it as Jawab ERP and not as Odoo.
Pricing was another need, because a two-person shop and a busy restaurant do not need the same number of users.
So the business had to charge by user count and still handle plan changes in the middle of a billing cycle.
Finally, the servers behind the platform had to be set up and deployed before any customer could sign up.
Webkul set up the Odoo SaaS platform behind Jawab ERP and shaped it around how Jawab sells.
The base is the Odoo SaaS Kit, which lets Jawab create a separate Odoo instance for every customer.
On top of it, Webkul added custom billing, set up the servers and later moved everything to a new cloud.
Jawab ERP gets its own brand through the debranding feature in the SaaS Kit.
This feature replaces the platform branding, so each customer sees Jawab ERP from sign-up onward.
As a result, the service reads as an industry-focused product of its own rather than a resold tool.
That brand then carries across every sector setup, from a food outlet to a vehicle garage.

Each customer pays by the number of users on the account.
The SaaS Kit already supports user-based pricing, but Jawab needed more control than the standard flow gave.
Webkul extended that flow with prorated billing, so charges follow user changes made partway through a billing cycle.
Webkul also added support for free users, which lets Jawab include some seats in a plan at no charge.
Extra users can be added on top of a plan too, and billing adjusts to match.
Together, these changes give Jawab more room to shape plans and subscriptions for customers of different sizes.

Webkul also handled the first infrastructure setup and deployment.
At first, the SaaS Kit ran on Amazon Web Services (AWS), along with the custom changes.
Later, infrastructure problems in the Middle East region caused the AWS setup to be lost.
Webkul then rebuilt the Odoo SaaS platform on a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) server.
During that move, all existing custom work came across, including the extended user-based billing.
In turn, the same product and pricing logic kept running on the new cloud host.
Some of the business follows a franchise model, which needs its own tools.
For this, the team uses Webkul’s Odoo Franchise Management system alongside the SaaS platform.
With it, franchise work runs in Odoo next to the rest of the business instead of in a separate tool.
Jawab now sells ready-to-use, industry-specific ERP under its own brand, on an Odoo SaaS platform set up by Webkul.
Its pricing fits each customer, from a single user to larger teams, and billing follows changes during a cycle.
When the first cloud setup was lost, the service kept going on Google Cloud with its custom work intact.
The company also continues to work with Webkul’s Odoo developers on further modules and custom changes.
