    Custom Attribute Odoo Bridge For Magento

    Custom Attribute Odoo Bridge for Magento is a dependent Module on the Odoo bridge for Magento (MOB) module. It is compatible with all the latest versions of Magento and Odoo.

    Introduction

    Magento provides a sophisticated way for product management. The addition of custom attributes and custom options to a product supplements its value. It helps in delivering a personalized customer experience. Offering custom options in a product helps in expanding the available options of a product leading to the increased number of product variants for that product. The customer would be able to get all possible variants of the product from a single place which in turn supplements the chances of increased sales and have better customer retention.

    3:- With the help of ‘Custom Attribute Odoo Bridge for Magento’ the custom options will get synchronized to Odoo sales order line description.

    Installation Process

    a) Installation at Magento end.

    1:- Place “src” folder inside Magento® directory.

    2:- Run below-mentioned commands on the terminal from your Magento® root directory.

    3:- You need to upgrade the module list by running the command: “php -f bin/magento setup:upgrade“

    4:- Then do index management by running below command on terminal: “php bin/magento indexer:reindex“

    5:-Then do cache management by running below command on terminal: “php bin/magento cache:flush“

    6:- After clearing the cache. Logout and then re-login to Magento.

    b) Installation at the Odoo end.

    1:- Place the modules inside Odoo Addons which are available in the “Odoo Module” folder. Don’t forget to restart your Odoo server after placing the module. 

    2:- Now, open the Odoo and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode. One can also activate the developer mode by typing ‘debug=1’ after ‘web?’ in the URL.

    3:- Then, open on the Apps menu and click on the ‘Update Apps List’.

    4:- In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘odoo_magento_attributes’.

    5:- As a result, you will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

    Workflow

    A) At Magento end.

    1:- After the installation of the module, you will find ‘Custom Product Attributes’ under Attribute Option.

    2:- Synchronize Custom Attributes:- Sync all custom attributes first from Magento to Odoo using ‘Synchronize Custom Attributes’ and use ‘Synchronize custom Options’ in order to export custom options from Magento to Odoo. 

    Use ‘Synchronize Product attributes’ in order to update custom options inside the products.

    Note:- If the ‘‘Product auto-sync’ is enabled, then custom options and custom attributes will get synchronize to Odoo end along with Product update.

    B) At Odoo end.

    1:- In order to find the imported Magento custom attributes. Navigate to Ecomm Odoo Bridge and then go to Configuration and then select User-Defined Attributes.

    2:- In order to view the custom options at the Odoo. Go to the Product template and then select the ‘Ecommerce channel Data’ tab. You will find the custom options there.

    3:- In order to find the custom attributes at the Odoo end. Go to the Product template and then select the ‘Ecommerce channel Data’ tab. As a result, you will find the custom options there.

    4:- In Odoo Sales Order, the custom options will be visible in Odoo Order lines.
