World Clock Lightning Component

World Clock is a lightning component that displays the time along with City and Country name. One can position this clock on every record page like Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Contracts and even on Community pages. You can add it on a record page to display the Time based on the Billing City and schedule your meetings with your business customers accordingly. This lightning component is available on community page as well. You can configure it dynamically to set the time based on City, ZipCode or Country Name.

**Note**  If the Address field is left blank on a record page with no Billing City mentioned and the entire address field left blank, it will pick the System’s time and will display it on the clock. In this case, only the time would be displayed with no information about the location.

World Clock Lightning Configuration Tutorial

Lightning Configuration View

To use the application at the Lightning end, it is required to register the domain first. Kindly go through the article: How to register your Domain in Salesforce. Once you get registered with your Domain, please make sure that custom tabs related to World Clock Lightning Component should be Default On.

Follow the steps to verify or update it: From Setup | Manage Users | Profiles | Select Profile and click Edit to verify as mentioned in the screenshot below.
Once done, Click on Save and Switch to Lightning Experience and proceed with the configuration at Lightning view as shown below.

Click on Home Tab and then Click on ‘Edit Page‘ as shown below.

Add the World Clock Lightning Component by drag and drop concept as shown below in the screenshot.

Now, click on ‘Next‘.

Click on ‘Activate‘ to activate the component on Homepage.Homepage view of World Clock.

Now, you can configure it later as per your need as shown below:
If you select Only City option, you just need to enter City Name and click on Submit as shown below.

Similarly, you can select ZipCode or Country/City option and then click on Submit to fetch the time and location accordingly.

World Clock Accounts Page View

To position this clock on Accounts page, click on Accounts tab and open any Account record as shown below:
Now, Click on the gear icon and then Click on Edit Page as shown below.

Add the World Clock lightning component by drag and drop concept as shown below in the screenshot.

Once you click on Save and then Activate, please click on Assign as Default as shown below:

Now, please click on Save.

Similarly, you can have a lightning view of World Clock component on every other record Page like Contacts, Leads, Contracts etc.

World Clock Community Page View

World Clock Component can also be made visible for Community page as well. To position this clock on Community Page, type Communities in the ‘Quick Find Search Box‘ and open the ‘Builder Page‘ of your community as shown below.
Now, in the Builder page, Click on Components and drag and drop the World Clock component to the required location as shown below:

Click on Publish. The World Clock Lightning component will appear on the Community page as shown below:

SalesforceMobile App Settings

Go to Setup | Mobile Administration | Salesforce1 Navigation. Add World ClockLightning from the available section to Selected list and click Save.
