    Odoo Website Quote System

    Introduction

    Website Quote System: This module helps the customer to request a quotation for any product on the website and can order the products in bulk with the custom prices and a number of quantities.

    Features

    • Website Quote System helps the customer to request a quote for any product from the website.
    • Customers can order products in bulk with the custom price.
    • Admin can approve or reject the customer quotation.
    • Approved quotations can be easily added to cart by the customer.
    • Admin can enable the quote system on their products.
    • Admin can set the minimum quantity and a valid number of days for the products which are allowed to quote.
    • The customer can create a quotation with the custom price and quantity.
    • The customer can add a description along with the price and quantity for products.
    • Approved quotations consist of an expiry date within which product needs to buy.
    • Status of quotation changes on each action taken.
    • Admin can set the notification/email setting for each new quote created.
    • Facility of email notification to the customer on the change in the status of its quotation.

    Installation

    After buying Website Quote System you will get a zip file, which contains module. Unzip the file and now just copy `website_quote_system` module folder into your Odoo addons. Now enable developers mode on your Odoo

    • Go to settings menu and Click on Activate the developer mode.
    • Now Go to Apps menu and Click on ‘Update Modules List
    • Remove the Apps filter

    Now you will be able to see the module, just install it. After installing you will be able to handle different functionality as mentioned in module’s Workflow.

    Workflow

    Once the module is installed, under sales menu> click on Quote settings menu.

    Configuration 

    To enable notifications on a new quotation request for admin and salesman. It also helps to enable notifications for customers on the status change of the requested quote.

    To send notifications it is must to select the Salesman.

    Back-end Settings 

    Under sales menu> customers quote menu you can check customer approved and pending quotes request with respective details. 

    Click on sales menu> products, while creating product enable “allow to quote” option so that from front-end customer can request for quotation of particular product with desired quantity. Admin can also define the minimum quantity for which customer can request for quotation and also its validity period

    Sales menu> customers quote, By selecting a particular customer’s quote request for a product admin can approve or reject simply by clicking on Approve and Reject button.

    Once the quotation is approved, you can check the approval date and its corresponding expiry date by selecting particular quote.

    Customers quote records with respective details will be maintained under Customers quote menu.

    Front-end Settings

    On the product page, you will found “Request Quote” option. By clicking on request quote customer can request for quotation of a particular product.

    Once you click on request quote, a pop-up window will appear from where you can select desired quantity, price and can also add a description. Click on Submit Now button to submit the request.

    The message will appear for the successful submission of quote request with respective details and status.

    The customer can also check his requested quotes record under my accounts menu> Your Quote Requests menu.

    By selecting particular quotation request customer can directly communicate with admin using chat box.

    Once the requested quotation for a particular product is approved only then the customer can add that product to his cart.

    While adding the product to cart, Customer can’t make any changes to approved quotation product.

    Sales order created for the particular quoted product and once paid its corresponding status changes to “paid“.
