Webkul at Meet Magento Asia 2018

After attending the Meet Magento Dubai 2018 Webkul team attended the Meet Magento ASIA 2018 which is the biggest Meet Magento event that was organized in Asia.

The event has more than 500 attendees from more than 10 countries having more than 30 speakers to speak on the different aspects and opportunities to integrate the upcoming technologies in the e-commerce businesses.

Our team travel to Bangkok to attend the event and has reached the Suvarnabhumi Airport early in the morning at 5 o’clock.  After we reached our hotel we take a rest for some hours and then our team travels to the Don Mueang International Airport to catch the flight for Phuket.

Here the team stayed for 4 days and went out for the beautiful sightseeing. The team also got the opportunity to visit the various beautiful beaches of Phuket, Thailand.

After spending a good time at the beaches we headed back towards Bangkok for the Meetup. The team arrived at their hotel on 7th of November and after spending the day in Bangkok the team takes the rest at their place.

We got ready early in the morning to attend the Meetup and arrived at the venue  Avani Riverside Bangkok Hotel by the quarter to 9.

We also attend the presentation on Accelerating Growth Through A Customer-Centric Business Transformation by Jerry Smith, COO & Principal Consultant – The Ogilvy Group.

After that, we have the refreshment break where our team gets the chance to connect with the representatives from different organizations and exchanged our views on the new technologies to be integrated to the Magento system to help the consumers/owners grow their businesses.

Now after the refreshment break, the session started again with the presentation from Dave Mommen, Head of Alliances & Channels, Asia – Rackspace on the Challenges & Pitfalls To Digital Transformation.

After the presentation, we attend the panel discussion on Omni-Channel a solution on which Webkul is heavily working on.

Webkul is working on providing the Omni-channel solution to its customers by providing them the solution to manage their different channels using our plugins.

After the panel discussion, it’s time for the networking lunch where we again get the chance to connect with the personnel from different organizations and have lunch together and discuss our business prospect to work on the upcoming technologies as a partner.

Here we get the chance to have a discussion over lunch with Max Yekaterynenko, Sr. Director of Engineering, Magento regarding the latest updates in the Magento version 2.3 which is expected to be released at the end of the year.Max Yekaterynenko

Now we move forward to attend the after lunch sessions on E-commerce solutions and Digital experience like Extending Magento’s Capabilities To Accelerate Growth and What Is The Ultimate Luxury In E-Commerce?

Now, it’s time for the refreshment break again where we once again meet with the personnel from different organizations and exchanged our views and thoughts with them. Meet Magento Asia 2018_team

Here we get the chance to meet with Dominic Powers, CEO – CtrlShift and  have the discussion with him on the programmatic automation in E-commerce and the usage of AI, AR, and ML in mobile applications

After that, we attend the last session of presentations of the Meetup having discussions on the topics like The Future Of Customer Experience: Engaging The Channel-Less Customer by Nicholas Kontopoulos, Head of APAC and EMEA Commerce Marketing – Magento.

We also attend the session on The Path To Purchase With Google by Monisha Varadan, Global Product Partnerships, APAC – Google.

Here we get the chance to meet Monisha Varadan where we share our views to work with Google on this new project based on PWA with MagentoMeet Magento Asia 2018_team_meeting

Our team members also got the chance to have a discussion with the NS8 protect team regarding the data protection and security management for the Webkul’s Magento based payment gateways.

We exchanged our thoughts on different technologies related to mobile and web development within the emerging e-commerce industry within Asia.

Lastly, we are also organizing Meet Magento in India on 8th of December and have invited a lot of people we networked with from the Asiatic region.

We hope to have such kind of interaction in the near future. We ended our journey with some great talks with the speakers and left for the day with some great memories of the event.
