INTRODUCTION

Manage attributes visibility with Odoo Website Hide/Disable Attribute!

Having accurate information about product attributes is very important. You need to manage every product attribute stock in Odoo and make them unavailable on the Odoo website. Else it will cause disappointment to customers when they find them out of stock. However, the default Odoo doesn’t have settings to hide or disable attributes from the Website.

To help you with this, we created Odoo Website Hide/Disable Attribute. The module permits you to manage product attributes available on the Odoo website. Also, it allows you to redirect users to available variants on the product page.

In addition, you can manage the visibility of in-stock and out-of-stock product attributes. Further, the Odoo app allows managing stock configuration based on in-hand, forecasted, and outgoing quantity.

FEATURES

1. Odoo Website Hide/Disable Attribute allows you to redirect customers to available product variants/attributes.
2. Control the visibility of out-of-stock attributes.
3. Set the default stock configuration based on forecasted, outgoing, and in-hand quantities.
4. You can control the product variant stock from the backend.
5. Apply the hide/disable attributes settings on ‘Storable’ products.

INSTALLATION

1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘wk_hide_attribute.’
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘wk_hide_attribute.’
7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

Moving on to the configuration of the Odoo Website Hide/Disable Attribute.

CONFIGURATION

1.  After installation, go to ‘Website> Configuration> Settings,’ select the Website tab and locate ‘Out of Stock Products Configuration.’

Redirect to Available Variant- It redirects users to available product variants/attributes on the Odoo website.

Manage Visibility of the Out-of-Stock Products on the Shop Page- Configure the default setting to manage the out-of-stock attributes on the website.

Stock Configuration- Set the default stock type for attribute visibility based on outgoing, forecasted, or on-hand quantities.

Manage Visibility of Product Variant- It allows you to choose between hiding or disabling product variant when it’s out of stock.

2. Move to the ‘Website> eCommerce> Products,’ open a product with variants, and ensure the ‘Product Type’ is set to ‘Storable.’

3. Move to the ‘Attributes & Variants’ tab to add them.

4. On the website, the product will show ‘Stock not Available’ if there is no stock available for any variant.

5. In the backend, open the product stock, update the quantities for the variants, and apply it.

6. Back on the website, if you choose a variant whose stock is unavailable, it will hide or disable the variant based on backend configuration.
