Squarespace Connector: Multi-vendor Marketplace for Shopify – [User Guide]

The Multi-vendor Marketplace app for Shopify has come up with yet another connector add-on namely Squarespace Connector.

The sellers who sell products on Squarespace can effortlessly import their products into the Multi-vendor seller panel.

Thus, gets the simplest way to sell Squarespace products on Shopify.

Accordingly, inventory will be managed at both ends once an order is created/updated for the seller’s product at Squarespace or at Shopify.

To enable the Connector, visit the “Feature App” section of the app and activate the feature app.

Go to the Feature App section and enable the Squarespace Connector feature app.

Then, approve the additional charge of $25 USD/month over and above your current Multi-vendor app plan.

To configure the settings, visit the admin panel Configurations>>Connector Configuration>>select the connector.

From this section, you can configure the settings:-

Note:- Once the order is created at the admin Shopify store for the connector product then the same order will be created on seller’s squarespace store also.

Even, the admin will get a reference order number like below that will be shown order section of the seller’s Squarespace store.

That’s all about the admin end configurations. Let’s move on to the seller panel configuration.

Now, the seller needs to manage the configuration from the Multi-vendor seller panel. Visit the seller panel Configuration>>Squarespace Configuration.

Here, the seller needs to configure the Squarespace details such as unit weight, store currency, Squarespace API key. Let’s see how the seller will get the API keys.

To get the keys, log in to the Squarespace portal and visit the Home:

Now, go to Settings:

Go to Advanced Settings:

Now, click Developer API Key:

There, you will get the option to generate keys. You need to enter the key name and enable the required permissions.

Required Permissions will be:-

• Forms – Read Only
• Products – Read and Write
• Inventory – Read and Write
• Orders – Read and Write
• Transactions – Read Only
• Profile – read Only

Hit the Generate button and you will have the keys.

Once done, the sellers can proceed to import products from Squarespace to the Multi-vendor app.

Before the product import, the seller needs to map the admin’s store product tags with the tags of his/her Squarespace store.

Note:- Make sure that the admin has enabled the “Restrict Tag” tab from the multi-vendor admin panel.

For this, the seller will visit the Tag Mapping section and then, select the admin’s collection to map with his/her own Squarespace store’s collection.

After all these settings, the seller will proceed to import products from his/her Squarespace store to the admin’s Shopify store.

Clicking the Import Product button, the seller will have two methods to import products.

• Method 1: The seller will select the duration to import products from Squarespace to Shopify.
• Method 2: The seller will enter the comma-separated product IDs (that the seller wants to import)..

This way, the products will get imported.

Please note: Sellers will have to update the products manually in case there is any updates on product on seller’s square space store.

Let the sellers create price rules to manage the product price of the seller’s Squarespace to the merchant’s store.

So, the sellers will have a new menu named Connector Price Rule in the configuration menu of the app.

From here, the seller can create price rules based on which the seller’s product price will be calculated on the merchant’s store. 

Now, the seller needs to enable “Price Rule” status and select the options as increase/decrease price, the price will be changed by a fixed amount or a percentage amount,

enter the amount that needs to be changed.
