PrestaShop POS Stripe Terminal Reader {User-Guide}

Accept in-person payments using Stripe Terminal in POS with PrestaShop POS Stripe Terminal Reader. The extension connects Stripe Terminal reader with POS so the customers can pay using credit or debit cards.

• This module is an add-on to PrestaShop POS System. To use this module, you need to install the PrestaShop Point of Sale System (POS) first.
• For connecting the Stripe Terminal Reader with POS, you need to purchase Stripe Terminal Reader from your Stripe account.
• Click here to view the countries & currencies for which the Stripe Terminal is available.
• This module is compatible with Prestashop version 8.x.x.

• Connect Stripe card swipe machine into POS.
• Collect payments through Stripe Terminal in POS.
• Use the module in live or test mode.
• A separate tab to view a list of transactions done via Stripe Terminal.
• View Stripe receipt from the back office.
• Supports Amex, Mastercard, Visa, JCB, and Discover cards.
• Cancel the running intent is possible now from the POS screen.
• PrestaShop POS Stripe Terminal Reader is MultiShop Compatible.

For installing this module, you need to install the Prestashop Point of Sale System module first.

• Firstly, go to the module manager in the back office and click on ‘upload a module’.
• After that, drag and drop the module file or select the file from the system.
• In this way, the module installation will be successful.

Under the API Keys tab, the admin needs to select the mode and specify the API secret key as per the selected mode.

To obtain the API test and live secret key, the admin has to create an account on dashboard.stripe.com.

After creating an account on Stripe, the admin can view the secret key on the dashboard.

First of all, a POS agent needs to search for the Stripe terminal reader and connect it with POS.

On clicking the Stripe button, a popup appears on the screen where a POS agent needs to click on the Discover reader button to search for the available readers.

POS agent can view the available stripe POS readers and select the suitable one.

When a POS agent adds a product to the cart and proceeds to checkout, he can view Stripe POS payment option.

Click on a product to add it to the cart.

Now, click on the Proceed to checkout button and select a customer.

After selecting a customer, when a POS agent clicks on proceed to checkout button he redirects to the payment page. On the payment page, a POS agent can view the Stripe POS payment option.

On selecting the Stripe POS payment option, the payment process gets initiated.

After the payment is initiated, the POS agent now needs to swipe the card on the POS card reader.

Now, the POS agent needs to wait until the payment gets confirmed.

After payment confirmation, the order receipt gets generated.

After the successful installation of the module, a new tab Stripe Payment gets available under POS in the back office.

Under this tab, the admin can view a list of all the transactions done via Stripe Terminal.

Also, the admin can view the receipt generated at the Stripe end by clicking on Stripe receipt.
