PrestaShop Marketplace USPS Shipping {User Guide}

PrestaShop Marketplace USPS Shipping module is an add-on to integrate shipping methods provided by ‘United States Parcel Services’.

The US-based stores can only use the USPS shipping methods to ship their products to customers in US & abroad. You can associate USPS shipping methods with admin & seller products both.

PrestaShop USPS Shipping module is completely based on API. The module is a rate calculator which will display the available carriers and rates.

It calculates the rate directly from the USPS API based on the admin’s shipping address and the customer’s delivery address.

It also takes the mentioned product dimension and weight into consideration before calculating the rate.

Note: PrestaShop Marketplace USPS Shipping module is compatible with PrestaShop version 8.x.x.

In order to install the module, you need to install the PrestaShop Advanced Multi-Vendor Marketplace module first.

After installing the marketplace module, you can now proceed to install the PrestaShop Marketplace USPS Shipping module.

• Firstly, go to the module manager in the back office and click on ‘upload a module’.
• After that, drag and drop the module file or select the file from the system.
• In this way, the module installation will be successful.

After successful installation, the admin will configure the module.

Default values are set during the installation of this module, the admin can change them afterward.

To get the USPS user ID, register at https://registration.shippingapis.com/ and you will receive the user ID via mail.

Note:-

• The package dimension provided during configuration is the default dimension. If any product has its own dimension then the package dimension will be the same as the product dimension otherwise the package dimension will be the same as the default dimension.
• Admin can enable/disable the USPS carriers for the sellers who have not provided USPS shipping details.
  If set to yes, then USPS carrier will be available for those sellers. But shipping will be facilitated by the admin as the admin has provided his USPS details.
  If set to no, then USPS carriers will not be available for those sellers.
• Admin can add their own handling cost for the USPS shipping method here.
• Admin can enable/disable the addition of “default PrestaShop shipping handling” cost also with the USPS shipping methods.

Front-End

After successful installation, a new tab i.e. “USPS shipping method” adds to the marketplace account at the front-end.

The seller will add the details of USPS shipping methods according to the requirements.

Now, USPS shipping methods will be available for the product according to the configuration set by the admin.
The USPS shipping cost will be calculated according to the USPS details entered by the seller.

Now, buyers can view the list of USPS shipping methods available at the buyer’s address for the product.

The seller can also view the USPS shipping handling charges with the order from the front end under ‘orders’ in the marketplace account.

Back-End

Admin can view the Sellers USPS details in the seller profile.

Go to manage seller profile -> Click on the view button of the seller -> Seller detail page will open where admin can view USPS details of the seller.

A new tab i.e. ‘USPS Shipping Fee’ will be added at the back-end.

Go to marketplace management->’ USPS Shipping Fee’.

Here, the admin can view the handling cost of each seller separately according to the order.

Now, when the admin views the details of placed order (using USPS shipping methods).

The admin can also view the detail of handling cost & total shipping cost charged on the selected order.

Go to orders -> select an order to view the detail

So, now while purchasing any product, a buyer will find the USPS Shipping methods. The cost will also display after calculating through USPS API directly.
