PrestaShop Frequently Purchase Together {User-Guide}

PrestaShop Frequently Purchase Together module is a powerful tool for admin who is looking to boost sales.

With this module, the admin can effortlessly enhance their online store’s offerings by adding the multiple products that customers purchase together alongside a single product from their online store.

Also, the admin can offer discounts to their customers when they purchase the offered products together.

Note: Prestashop Frequently Purchase Together module is compatible with Prestashop Version 8.x.x.

• Offer multiple products to customers on a product page to buy them together.
• Three different positions are available to display the frequently purchased together products.
• Offer discounts when a customer purchases offered products together.
• Provide discount as: free shipping, fixed amount or in percentage.
• Set conditions like minimum amount and the number of products to avail the discount.
• Compatible with the Quick view mode of Prestashop.
• Multishop compatible.

• Firstly, Go to the Module Manager in the Back office and click on “Upload a module”.
• After that, Drag and drop the module file or select the file from the system.
• In this way, the module installation will be successful.

General Setting

In order to configure the module, the admin first needs to select the position for displaying the frequently purchased products on the product detail page.

There are three position options available in the module, where the admin can display the frequently purchased product section on the front office.

1. Display in product addition info
2. Display in product footer
3. Display after product thumbs

If the admin selects this option to display the frequently purchased products section then in the front office the user can view the frequently purchased product section as displayed in the image below.

While configuring the module, if the admin selects the “Display in product footer” option to display the frequently purchased together products section then in the front office the user can view the section on the front office as displayed in the image below.

If the admin selects the “Display after product thumbs” option to display the frequently purchased products section then in the front office the user can view the frequently purchased product section as displayed in the image below.

Discount Setting

The admin can set the global discount for the frequently purchased together product. The same discount will be applied to all the frequently purchased together products.

There are three options available in the module for defining the global discount:

1. Free Shipping
2. Percentage
3. Fixed Amount

Free Shipping

With this discount type, the admin can provide free shipping to the customer if they purchased the products from the frequently purchased together products block/section and fulfill the set condition.

• Minimum amount: Enter the total minimum amount of the products that the customer needs to purchase from the frequently purchased together section to avail the advantage of a discount.
• Minimum product: Enter the total minimum number of products that the customer needs to buy from the frequently purchased together section to get the benefit of the discount.

Percentage

The admin can provide a discount in percentage if the customer purchases the products and fulfills the conditions set by the admin.

Fixed amount

With this discount type, the admin can provide a discount for a fixed amount to the customer if they purchased the products from the frequently purchased together products block/section and fulfill the set condition.

After configuring the module, the admin needs to create the rules for adding the frequently purchased products.

Once the admin clicks on the “Add new” button a form for adding the products will displayed.

Search main product: Search and select the product on which you want to assign the frequently purchased product together. For example: A customer is looking for a smartphone.

Search together product: Search and select the products that you want to assign to the products so that the customers can buy them together. For example: On purchasing a smartphone the customer also buys a charger and screen protection glass.

Do you want to apply a discount: Enable, if the admin wants to provide the discount when a customer purchases the set products together.

If the admin disables this option then he can set the new discount that will be applied specifically for the particular rule.

Do you want to apply global discount: Enable if the admin wants to provide the same discount as he set while configuring the module.

After admin saves the rule, the product page looks like the below-mentioned image, from where he can select the products and add them to the cart together to get the benefit of the discount.

Compatible with quick view feature

The user can view the frequently purchased products together products in quick view mode too.

The user needs to click on the “Quick view” button and the frequently purchased products look like the below-mentioned image.

After clicking on the “Add all products to cart” button, all the selected products will be added to the cart.

As you can see the admin applied the discount when the customer buys the selected product together but after adding the products the discount is not applied to the cart.

Because the admin sets the condition, that the customer must have a minimum cart value of $50 or above to get the discount and in the above image you can check that the cart value is less than $50.

As soon as the customer cart value reaches the value of $50, automatically the discount will applied to the cart as displayed in the below image.

Once the customer places the order, the admin can check it from the backoffice.
