Prestashop Admin Vacation allows you to inform your customers about your unavailability when you are out of town or on a vacation. Simply create a vacation schedule by setting the time period and display a customized message on the store notifying customers of your absence. You can also choose to close your shop till the time you are on vacation so that you don’t have to worry about processing the orders upon return.
Features of Prestashop Admin Vacation
Three Vacation modes: Message, Schedule, and Shop Close.
Set the customized vacation message to be displayed in a popup and banner.
Two vacation messages added in the module by default.
Enable/Disable the display of vacation message in a popup/banner.
Multiple options to customize the popup and banner in which vacation message is displayed.
Create a schedule by setting the time duration for vacation.
While creating a schedule, admin can also enable/disable the add to cart button and display of price on product page.
Admin can also choose to close the shop for the time period set by him while creating a schedule.
Admin can also set the time after which he will be notified regarding the ongoing vacation on the shop.
Get notified of the next upcoming vacation within 3 days.
Go to back office ->modules.
Upload the module zip file.
The module will automatically get installed on your Prestashop.
After the installation of module, a new tab “Vacation” gets added from where admin can configure the module settings.
Under Notification Settings, admin can:
Select the vacation mode
Enable or Disable popup/banner
Select the message to be displayed on popup and banner.
Select message for popup/banner
After the installation of module, two messages get added by default. Admin can select from one of these two messages or create his own customized message which will be displayed on shop page when vacation mode is on.
Admin can choose to display only the vacation message on the shop, create a schedule, or simply close the shop during vacation.
If selected “Message”, then a vacation message will be displayed to user in a popup when he visits the store.

When a user visits the shop, he can view the vacation message selected by admin from backend as shown below:
If admin has selected “Schedule”, then, in this case, admin needs to set the start & end date and time of the vacation and in this duration vacation message will be displayed to users on the shop.
If selected “shop close”, then in this case, the whole shop will remain closed and a popup message will be displayed on the shop. Users will not be able to access any tab or page of the shop.
Notify admin about next vacation
Suppose admin has added two vacations: one from 10th January – 12th January and second from 15th January to 17th January. Now, admin will be notified about the next coming vacation on 12th January.
If admin has selected “Shop close”, then the entire shop will be closed and a vacation message will be displayed in a popup. In this case, a user will not be able to access any page or tab of the shop.
Display Popup Settings
Admin can change the look and feel of the popup using display popup settings. Also, admin can select the pages on which the popup will be displayed.
Display Banner Settings
Admin can customize the banner by setting its background color and font color. Also, admin can select the pages on which the banner will be displayed.
Under “Messages”, admin can view the two default messages added in the module, edit/delete these messages, and add new vacation messages. Under “Notification Settings”, admin can select the message which will be displayed on the shop. Also, while adding a schedule admin can select the message to be displayed inside the popup and banner.
Admin can add a new schedule by setting a time period during which he will be on vacation or the shop remains closed and selecting the popup message which will be displayed on the shop page.
If admin has selected “Vacation” in this field, then he can enable/disable “add to cart” button and display of product’s price until he is on vacation. Also, admin can select/create the banner message to be displayed on shop.

If admin has disabled “add to cart” button and display of price, then customers will not be able to buy the products and view product prices.
If selected “Closed” in the field, then the shop will remain closed for the time duration set by admin.

If selected “Closed” in “Schedule type field”, then the shop will remain closed users will not be able to view anything on shop.
After creating a schedule, admin will be notified about the ongoing vacation on the shop after the time set by him under “Notification Settings“.
Admin also gets notification for the next upcoming vacation within 3 days.
