Using Opencart Mail Template module you can expand any default Opencart mail template. The admin can create an unlimited number of predefined emails templates and use them for several events of the store. Each predefined email template can be easily customized.

This module is the best solution to create configurable email template which can be easily managed and customized to support all your email needs for your store.

Installation

Installation of the Module is easy. Under the module zip, there are 3 folders admin, catalog, and ocmod, you just need to upload admin and catalog folders to the root directory of the website.

Once you have uploaded the file then login to admin and go to Extensions> Extension installer and upload the XML file. The XML file can be found on the ocmod folder.

After uploading the XML file go to the Extensions > Modification and click on refresh field.

After that in Admin panel go to System -> Users -> Usergroup and edit ‘Administrator’ and select all for both Access and Modify Permission then save it.

After that under Extension > Modules install the Opencart Auction module like this.

Module Configuration

After the module installation, the admin can easily configure the module settings. For this, the admin will navigate to Extensions -> Extensions as per the below image.

Here, select the option Modules from the drop-down list and then click on the Edit icon. This will navigate the admin to the Edit Account Module page as per the below image.

Here, the admin will enable the module by selecting the enabled option from the drop-down list.

Create Mail Templates

Once the module is enabled, the admin will create the mail templates. For this, the admin will navigate to Extension -> Mails as per the below image.

Here, the admin can:

  • Edit the mail templates by clicking the Edit icon.
  • Delete the mail template by clicking the Delete icon.
  • Add/Create a new mail template by clicking the Add icon.

Create New Template:

The admin can create an unlimited number of mail templates. To create a new mail template the admin will click the Add icon and gets navigated to the new page as per the below image.

Under Add Message tab, the admin can create the mail template. For this, the admin will –

  • Name: Enter the name of mail template.
  • Subject: Define the subject of the mail.
  • Message: Create the mail body content. And can also use mail keywords in the mail body.

To get to know about the mail keywords, click Info tab as per the below image.

Here, the admin will have a complete list of the mail keywords and accordingly will configure them in the mail templates.

Configure Templates

After creating the mail templates, the admin will configure these mail templates for various events of the store. For this, the admin will navigate to Extensions -> Extensions as per the below image.

Here, select the option Modules from the drop-down list and then click on the Edit icon. This will navigate the admin to the Edit Account Module page as per the below image.

Here, the admin will configure the mail templates for the several events of the store. The admin simply selects the mail templates which the admin has created from the drop-down list as per the below image.

Email Notification

As per the configured mail templates, the users will get the mails as per the below image.

Like in the above image the customer has been notified of the order placed successfully. Likewise, for the other events of the store the user will be notified.
