OpenCart Live Sales Order Pop-up Notification

OpenCart Live Sales Order Pop-up Notification: With this module, the admin will be able to enable the sales and rating notification to be visible on the frontend. Moreover, it displays the latest updates about the sales and reviews of the store.

The notifications are visible as per the recent purchase done by the customers. Also, the recent ratings will be visible with a glimpse of customer and order details.

If we talk about the notifications then the first thing which strikes to mind is the latest offers and highest purchase. The notification popups come up with a rise in sales and revenue, and with that, it highly increases the store reviews.

Essentially, the notification popups have become the reason behind the better conversion rates. These winning notifications fascinate the customer to view it and then move forward

Further, the notifications are visible with the name of the customer and their city, including some more details.

Note:

1. This module supports all templates and themes including the Journal theme.

2. Opencart Live Sales Order Pop-up Notification module supports the Multi-Store feature of the default Opencart.

Here understand the extension workflow:-

Features

• The customer can see live order notifications of products.
• Customers can see live rating notifications.
• The admin can Enable/ Disable the module at once.
• The admin can Enable/ Disable the sales and rating popups separately.
• The customer will be able to go on the product whose notifications are being popped-up.
• The admin can hide the customer’s details.
• The admin can customize the appearance of notification popups like Popup Layout, Text Color, Position, Link Color, Last Caption, and background color.
• The customer will redirect to the respective product page by clicking on the notification.
• The admin can manage the functionality of notifications which includes the Delay in notifications, display time, notification limits.
• The admin can even restrict the visibility of the notification when the website is viewed on the mobile phone.
• This module supports the multi-store features of default opencart.

Note: It is mandatory for the user to view the website in a single window and browser at a time. The notifications will not be visible if the user views the website on the same browser or window.

Installation

Step 1:

The installation of the Module is easy. Under the module XML, there are 2 folders catalog and admin, you just need to upload these folders to the root directory of the website.

Note – You can also install the OpenCart Live Sales Order Pop-up Notification module by uploading the ZIP or XML file from the ocmod folder. Please upload the ZIP file for version 3.X and upload the XML  file for version 2.X.

Step 2:

Now log in to admin backend and navigate through Extensions > Extension Installer. Click the Upload button and browse the XML file, this file is in the ocmod folder. Please select the correct ocmod folder. According to your Opencart version installed in your system.

Step 3:

After uploading the XML file, please navigate through Extensions > Modifications. Forthwith, click the Refresh button as visible in the below snapshot.

Step 4:

After that, under the Admin panel navigate to System > Users > Usergroup and edit ‘Administrator’ and select all for both Access and Modify Permission then save it.

Step 5:

Eventually, navigate to Extension > Modules install the module as shown below.

Module Configurations

After the installation is done, the admin can now manage the backend configurations. For this, the admin will navigate to the Extensions > Extensions > Modules > Live Sales Notifications.

Meanwhile, the admin has to manage the configurations in four different sections.

General Configurations

The admin will manage the details which will facilitate the notifications. The details are visible as shown in the image below:

Status: If the admin set this to Enable then only the module will work properly.

Display: The admin can display or hide the following details from the notification popup.

• Name: If this is set to Enable, then the name of the customer will be visible on the notification popup, otherwise in place of the name “Someone” will be visible.
• City: If this is set to Enable, then the city will be visible on the notification popup.
• Time: The admin will set the time(in seconds) of the notification visibility on the website.

Delay: This will be the duration(in seconds) between two consecutive notifications. Time can be between 1-6 digits only.

Order Notification Limit: The admin can set the number of order/ sales notifications that will be visible on the website.

Rating Notification Limit: The admin can set the number of rating notifications that will be visible on the website.

Display on Mobile: If this is set to Enable then the notification popups will be visible even if the device is viewed on mobile devices.

Allowed Order product Options: The admin can allow some specific custom field to be visible on the notification popup.

The custom fields may include Radio, Text, Text Area, Date, File, Select, Time, Date and Time, Deliver Date, Size, and Color.

Allow orders by customer groups: The customer can select the customer group, after that the notifications will be visible to the customers belong to the customer group only.

Hide Customer Name and City

If the Display Name and Display City are disabled then the same details will not be visible in the frontend. The name will be replaced with “Someone” and no city will be present there. The preview for the same is shown in the image below:

Sales Popup Notification

The admin will separately configure the orders notification popup. This may include the details as shown in the image below:

Sales Popup Status: If the admin selects Enable for this field, the sales popup will be visible.

Popup Layout: The admin can configure the notification popup border among available layouts like Dotted, Dashed, Solid, Double, Groove, Ridge, Inset, Outset, Dotted Dashed Solid Double

Position: The notification popup can have six positions on the website frontend. Meanwhile, the admin can select among the positions Top Left, Top Center, Top Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Center, and Bottom Right.

The admin can select the desired positions for the Sales Popup notifications.                                               

Text Color: The admin can either select the text color or add the hex code for a specific color.

Link Color: The admin can either select the link color or add the hex code for a specific color.

Last Caption: The admin can either select the last caption color or add the hex code for a specific color.

Background Color: The admin can also set the background color of the notification popup by either selecting it or adding the hex code for the same.

Ratings Popup Configurations

The admin will separately configure the rating notification popup. This may include the details as shown in the image below:

Ratings Popup Status: If the admin selects Enable for this field, the ratings popup will be visible.

Popup Layout: The admin can configure the notification popup border among available layouts like Dotted, Dashed, Solid, Double, Groove, Ridge, Inset, Outset, Dotted Dashed Solid Double

Position: The notification popup can have six positions on the website frontend. Meanwhile, the admin can select among the positions Top Left, Top Center, Top Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Center, and Bottom Right.

The admin can select the desired positions for the Rating Popup notifications.                                                                               

Text Color: The admin can either select the text color or add the hex code for a specific color.

Link Color: The admin can either select the link color or add the hex code for a specific color.

Last Caption: The admin can either select the last caption color or add the hex code for a specific color.

Background Color: The admin can also set the background color of the notification popup by either selecting it or adding the hex code for the same.

Notification Preview

After configuring the features of the module, the admin can move for a quick preview of the appearance of the notification popup on the frontend. The preview is shown in the image below for the sales and rating notifications.

After the completion of backend configurations, the notification popups will be visible to the customer on the frontend. The sales notifications will be visible with the details as configured by the admin.

Sales Notification In Opencart Live Sales Notification

The sales or order notification will show the recent orders made by other customers. The notifications may include the name, city, and price of the customer. Also, some custom fields will be visible if enabled by admin.

Rating Notification in Opencart Live Sales Notification

Once the admin has enabled the rating popups from the backend, it will be visible in the frontend. Rating notifications will display the recent reviews and ratings done by the customers as shown in the image below.

Navigate to Product Page

The customer will directly navigate to the respective product if they click on the name of the product on the notification popup. Hence, the view will be similar to the image shown below:
