INTRODUCTION
As Paytm is among one of the most famous Payment Options in India, it’s important that your Odoo Website also provides the option to the customer to pay Via Paytm. The module allows you to integrate Paytm Payment Acquirer with Odoo.
The customers can easily pay online for their Odoo Website orders using Paytm. They are redirected on the Paytm Webpage for making secure payments.
Paytm offers multiple options such as Paytm wallet, credit/debit card or net banking. Once the transaction is completed they are directed back to the Odoo website.
The module also saves all the transaction records in the Odoo backend.

INSTALLATION
1.) Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘payment_paytm_merchant’.
3.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4.) Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5.) Then, open on the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List’.
6.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘payment_paytm_merchant‘.
7.) You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.
WORKFLOW
1.) Navigate through Invoicing >> Payment acquirers. Here you can now see a new option ‘Paytm’. Click on it.

2.) Here, fill your credentials i.e. Merchant ID and Key. Then, add Paytm Channel, website and Industry to integrate Paytm With Odoo.

3.) Then, click on the messages tab. Here you can add various pop up messages for the customers such as error message, cancellation message, pending message.
4.)Now, click on the ‘Configuration’ tab. Here you can set various options.
5.) Set the name of the Paytm Acquirer on the Website and other settings.
6.) Choose the Payment Journal.
7.) You can also restrict the payment method to specific countries by using ‘Specific countries tab’.

8.) You would also need to publish the payment method on the website to make it available to the customers. Click Save.
On the website
9.) Now, go to the Odoo website. Click on Shop, select any product and add to cart.
10.) Now, click on process checkout and follow the steps.
11.) On the Payment page, you can now see Paytm as a payment method. Select the option and click on ‘PAY NOW’

12.) You will be redirected to the Paytm Page. On the popup that appears, you can choose any one of the following options:
- Use Mobile Number to pay directly from Paytm Wallet.
- Pay Using Credit/Debit Card.
- Pay Via Net Banking.


13.) Once the payment is successful, you will be directed back to the Odoo Website CheckOut Page.
View transaction History
14.) All the transactions are saved in Odoo backend. To view the online transactions in the Odoo backend, Activate the developer mode.
15.) Then, head to ‘invoicing menu and click on Payment sub-menu. Click on the Payment transactions.
16.) Here, you can view the payment transactions made on Odoo website including the mode of transaction and the concerned sales order.
