INTRODUCTION

Make the Product Invisible for Direct Sale Using Odoo Website Hidden Product!

Sometimes online sellers need to hide some of the products from the shop page because of various reasons. The hidden products are not visible on the shop page. These products can only be accessed with specific product links/URLs.

When the Product is out of stock, the admin can hide the product so that the customers can not see the products which are unavailable in stock. Out-of-stock products directly affect the customer experience.

Some of online shoppers want to provide the only request-based product view. The ‘Odoo Website Hidden Product’ module helps you to hide some of the products from the Odoo Website as per the requirement.

Products like optional products, service products, and virtual products can be hidden using the ‘Odoo Website Hidden Product’ module.

These hidden products are available for sale using the direct product link. So, the user can only view these products on the cart page instead of the sales page.

INSTALLATION

1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2. Extract the file from your system after the download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘hidden_products.’
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo Apps and then, click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on the ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and then, search ‘hidden_products.’
7. As a result, you will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

Moving on to the configuration of Odoo Website Hidden Product.

CONFIGURATION

1. Go to ‘Website> Configuration> Settings’ after installing the module.

2. Under the ‘Website Info’ tab, select the product to hide from the ‘Hidden Product’ option.

3. You can also add products to the hide list by clicking the ‘Configuration’ option.

4. Now, add products in the popup and click the ‘Apply’ button.

5. Products can further be hidden from website settings (‘Website> Configuration>Website> My Website’).

NOTE: The sub-menu will be available only in developer mode so be sure to activate it.

6. You can see that the hide products are not visible on the Odoo Website Shop page. You can also search for the hidden product from the search bar but they won’t be shown in the result.

7. The hidden products are accessible only through direct URLs/links.
