    User Guide for Odoo Recently Viewed Records

    INTRODUCTION

    Now, keep an eye on your recent activities with Odoo Recently Viewed Records.

    Now it is possible to track the last viewed records in Odoo with just a click. Yes, it is possible with the module, named Odoo Recently Viewed Records. The functionality of this module is exactly what its name reflects.

    The Odoo users can easily check their last viewed records in Odoo by clicking on the eye-like icon. If the users are working on any field then they are trackable with its help.

    The Admin of the database can check the activity log of each user. However, users can check only their recently viewed records.

    Suppose, a user forgets to add any field or has made an error. Moreover, if it is hard to trace then tracking user activity in Odoo can help them to verify the error and correct it.

    FEATURES

    • It helps the users to keep track of the last 10 viewed records in Odoo.
    • If a user logs out of his/her account then also it doesn’t affect the recently viewed history as it can be viewed after logging in again.
    • The admin has access to track the last viewed records in Odoo for a user in a detailed way.

    INSTALLATION

    1.) Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.

    2.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘odoo_recently_viewed_records’.

    3.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.

    4.) Now, open the Odoo and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode. One can also activate the developer mode by typing ‘debug’ after ‘web?’ in the URL.

    5.) Then, open on Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List’.

    6.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘odoo_recently_viewed_records’.

    7.) You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

    WORKFLOW

    1.) Log in to your Odoo Database;

    2.) Here, you can notice an eye-shaped icon. The icon is available in the top right section of the menu bar which helps you to check your Activity Log in Odoo

    3.) It helps you to track the activity of all the recently opened forms in Odoo.

    4.) Suppose you go to the sales order and opened a sales order then the Recently Accessed Records in Odoo will reflect in Recently Viewed Records.

    5.) Similarly, you can track the latest records of other forms of Odoo like Customer details, Quotations, Inventory Transfers, Warehouse and many more.

    6.) If you have logged in as an admin of the database then you can also track the Recent Viewed Records of the other users of the Database

    7.) Go to Settings and click on the User & Companies

    8.) Select Users and choose from the list of your database users

    9.) Once you have selected a user; click on the Recently Viewed Records tab to check the detailed latest viewed fields.
